Sagres Sun Stay - Hostel & Surf Camp

I had a lovely week in Sagres Sun Stay, facilités are well entertained and the presence of the team in any matter you might need makes it a great and well accommodating place.

I came for surfing and chilling, both achieved, the classes were super well organized; the coolness and professionalism of each surfing class made my experience formidable :)

We stayed here in a private room for a 5 days with the family and we had a great surf camp vacation : staff is very friendly and helpful, the surf lessons were so much fun for adults and the kids alike.

Ideal for me as a hiker on the Fishermen's Trail in the beginning of March; very friendly staff, and not busy and loud (before the real spring season starts) at all. Big supermarket just around the corner and the breakfast was a bonus for me. 😍

We had a great time staying as a group of eight in a 8-people room! The breakfast was plentiful and very good for vegans (fresh hummus!) and the staff was always nice and helpful! The included dinner was really good, too and had nice vegetarian/vegan options!

I have spent one night in the apartment with my husband and daughter. This is such a peaceful place, clean and beautifully decorated. Such a cool vibe with everything. All the staff is so friendly. I wish I could stay longer! Will book again. Breakfast included is so lovely and fresh, lots of variety as well! Amazing value too.

For 10 days, i was one of the guests at Sagres Sun Stay and I simply loved the experience. From the amazing breakfast to the kindness of the employees as well as the owner and the best bunk beds I have ever slept in (really robust structure). Besides the stay, i tried the surf lessons with Zsofi and she was a great teacher, able to transmit her knowledge always with a big smile.
Besides all this, the connection between guests is like none I had experienced in any hostel before. We were as if we had come together for vacations.
In a nutshell, if you are ever in Sagres, do yourself a favor and book your stay at Sagres Sun Stay.

The atmosphere it’s wonderful, the staff was very friendly, the rooms are big (the bed clothes are good quality).
The toalete/ showers it’s clean, you receive “coins” for the shower water (10min) and also have a hairdryer.
The breakfast start 8:45, and for outside (not guest), cost 6€ (august/23).

Great hostel in Sagres. I’ve been there two times, in September 21 and October 22, with other 11 Utimate Frisbee team mates. We had a great time there. The staff was very kind to us and often available. Breakfast is great and abundant. Customers are kind. We rented a whole 12 bed room. Beds are rather comfy and spacious. There’s even a salty swimming pool, but we preferred to surf in the Ocean😽. Thank you a lot Ana and all the staff for the great time!

Had a great time at the hostel and met lots of great people. The hostel is clean and has a lot of facilities. Only 20 min walk into the centre of Sagres. The hostel held events every evening to entertain guests.

Great place to relax. I was there before the season so not too many people. Pool is great. Breakfast is plentiful and the dinner option is very good too.. Kind staff and relaxed atmosphere. Enjoy if You can..

I was in Sagres Sun stay for 3 nights, and everything went impeccable. All the staff makes you feel at home and everyday the owner shares his happy energy at breakfast.
The surf lessons were great, and Sophie was really helpful to me.
I brought my own bike that was safely stored and during the whole stay I never felt unsafe, uncomfortable or left out.
If you are staying in Sagres, Sagres Sun Stay is a must

I think it is a very nice hostel and would love to come back! I stayed for a week while kayaking. The room, kitchen, toilets and showers were very clean. It is a friendly athmosphere and helpful staff. During 3 days with much rain the staff helped us to dry our wet clothes for example. The breakfast was good too.
It is close to a supermarket, bakery and restaurants.

Great location with friendly staff. Mister G gave us a tour around his hostel. Everything is made to great Detail, clean and modern. I can highly recommend this place!

I stayed at the hostel for 10 days and did the 7 day surf package. I honestly had the best time. The dorms are really comfortable and well thought out, with plenty of space to store your things and a curtain for privacy. The facilities were really good, clean and super neat. Awesome swimming pool and I found the staff to be really helpful and accommodating. The breakfasts and lunches with the surf package were such such nice touch too. Special shout out to Jojo, the surf instructor, who is so dedicated to teaching surfing. He was amazing.The dorm is so well located too. Loved it. Would definitely return

Beautiful hostel!

I really enjoyed my stay. The rooms and sanitary facilities were very clean. Breakfast was great and the staff was always on hand and friendly when you needed them.
I can highly recommend it!

We stayed here, a couple, late 20s and early 30s.
This place wasn't quite our vibe as we wanted a little more of a party and it was quiet here in peak season.

So after one night, we booked 6 nights, we asked if it was possible to check out earlier and maybe get a refund.

The professionalism that we were met by from the manager was second to none and the reason for the five stars.

This hostel is one of the cleanest and best hostels I ever stayed in. The staff is super friendly and the rooms as well as the bathrooms are so clean! I felt very comfortable surfing my stay in Sagres and I would recommend this hostel to my friends. Sagres also is a super cute town and the nature around is stunning. Perfect for a surf or hiking trip.

I stayed at Sagres Sun Stay the first year they opened - and I came back every year since :)

For me it's the perfect mix between a hostel and an 'apartment': on the one hand you have loads of people to meet and hang out with in the kitchen or by the pool, and on the other hand you can enjoy some time alone in your private room if you choose to rent one of these.

Anna and her team is great! Everything is super organised, clean and whenever you have a question you get a proper answer.

I can highly recommend Sagres Sun Stay to everyone and will definitely come back this year again :)
