Aurora Steakhouse

It's a really nice meat restaurant. Posh, beautiful decorated, nice and attentative staff. I very seldom eat beef, but when I do, we, two persons, visit Aurora Steakhouse, which is one of the best (if not the best) meat restaurants in Tavira. The starters, scallops, and goat puffs were delicious, and big portions were there. The chosen meat cooked to perfection included the chosen two side dishes and sauce
It is not a cheap restaurant but not the most expensive either. Cocktails, starters, wine, meat main dish, desserts, coffee. There was a little mistake with a starter, which was immediately corrected
It was definitely worth it, and we also thought so when we had been there before. Highly recommended

fabulous! the welcome, the friendliness, how and with what the food is presented and served. not to mention the taste. I am extremely impressed with how comfortable I felt here. a very clear recommendation. The great thing was that I was able to choose the best knife for me from a wide range of knives. At the end there was a delicious schnapps. Rarely have I felt so positively surprised, even though the first impression was already inviting. Thank you, thank you for the incredibly tasty experience here. and so polite and accommodating. simply great. highest standard without etépetete.

Incredible meats and well selected sides. Staff was very pleasant and service minded. Good wine. The Aurora special (dessert) was amazing! Best we had in all the Algarve.

Wonderful steak house and dining experience! The food is presented very nicely and the staff and very friendly. My fiancé and I had a 900 gram tomahawk chop and it was grilled perfectly. Definitely try their scallop appetiser!

We where here at New years eve. Raul and all of his team did a great job. the menu was perfect. The food even better. friendly!! It was a very good evening and we will come back next time we are in Tavira. greetings Johan and Lia

Had a nice dinner here after another nearby restaurant turned us away despite not being very busy.

We shared the shrimp appetizer, which had 8 large whole shrimp. Then we shared the Chef's meat board, which had grilled beef ribs, pork tenderloin, and rare sirloin. All was very good, though a bit much fat for my taste (though I know some people like it that way).

I was eyeing the Tomahawk steak, which seems pricey, but it is reasonable if you consider the amount of meat (1600g), but it was too much to eat.

We finished with dessert - the chocolate mousse, and Aurora Special. Both were delicious.

We found this place on Christmas Eve - around 2 in the afternoon. The restaurant didn’t look any special from outside but as soon as you enter, it has a high quality feel to it.
Service was superb, attentive, helpful, everyone speaking perfect English and being very accommodating.
We had a meat board (some rare and some medium/well done) with their own Aurora sauce, sweet potato chips, polenta sticks and fried vegetables. We also had a large glass of their house red which complemented the meal and some water. We also received a bit of nibbles before the meal and could choose our knife for the meal. Everything tasted divine and the staff members were professional and friendly at the same time. Massive thanks to all of them and please check this place out if you are in Tavira, it’s worth it!

Starters were well presented and very tasty. Scallops were amazing as well as meat samosa. We had a steak selection of 3 meats, cooked perfectly, sauces were great, highly recommended.

Dry aged picanha cooked to perfection. So was the salmon and the black pork. Amazing service. Large portions, nice variety of side dishes. Hands down one of the best dining experiences you'll have in Tavira. Fantastic ambience!

This was a lovely surprise. The staff was kind and friendly, the meat was delicious, the sangria as well ! The atmosphere was chic and cosy ! And the price was good for the quality of the food. Also located in the lovely town of Tavira, which is perfect for a walk after the dinner, we’ll definitely be back for our last dinner before going back home.

Best restaurant in Tavira, food was well seasoned and presented, you could see the respect for ingredients, loved the choice of knives. We will be back.

Delicious and very reasonably priced steak served by very kind, attentive staff. We ordered the rib eye steak, one with butter sauce and one with garlic & corriander - both indulgent and flavoursome - and shared the sides which appear small but actually perfect sized with the steak. Would recommend a visit for a special meal

I was visiting Tavira while solo traveling and stumbled into this steakhouse; I thought it was amazing. The steak was delicious; the greens/garnish were literally on fire, which gave off a smoky smell that actually really complemented the meal. I had a glass of wine that was fantastic as well. Definitely the highlight of my visit.

Very nice and friendly people! We ate a starter, the meat and dessert everything was great, you have to try it. I recommend it for sure...and we will come back soon...

The Aurora Steak House Restaurant is in a street just a few minutes behind the main line of restaurants that front the river but well worth discovering. We enjoyed our last evening dinner in Tavira here, we could not fault anything, the atmosphere was good, thoroughly enjoyed the food and the service was attentive, we would not hesitate to recommend this restaurant.

A fantastic steak. Great service. And a lovely setting. The sides are wonderful, I highly recommend the garlic potatoes and the corn.
