Mira Restaurante Tapas & wine

A popular spot for lunch. We luckily got in early as later there was only space for reservations. A pleasant family atmosphere, with a mix of locals and tourists.
The salmon in with almonds was succulent. The fish stew was fine too. With bread and olives, coffee and smoothie it all came to €24.

Nice in-town Tavira restaurant. Sharing a LOT of dishes was fun and affordable. Our server was great. My Octopus & Sweet Potatoes (chips unfortunately!) lacked a bit of flavor, as did my friend's Vegetarian Curry, but all the other dishes were terrific, especially the Risotto, Tuna (or Salmon) Tartare and the Mushrooms Salteado. Great wine prices also.

Some of the best food we had during our stay in Tavira! From the bread & cheese platter, creamy prawns and vegetable curry, each dish was so so good and very reasonably priced. Would recommend the sangria too!

Beautiful decorated restaurant near the water front. We were walking by on our way home from dinner but the deserts looked so good so we decided to have more deserts and wine. We enjoyed everything there. The waitress is super nice and friendly.

This is an amazing place at the centre's area, fresh made food not processed, affordable. Nice atmosphere and services. We eat at this place at least twice a week.

I had lunch in June 2023 here. The place deserves the high rating it has. Simply fantastic! From the food, the vibe, and the friendly staff! I had the fried octopus with sweet potato chips. A blessing. The kind waiter suggested a “vino verde” (Portuguese sparkling white wine) which was exceptional. 10/10 highly recommend!

Great meal, charming atmosphere. We enjoyed the Dry Tuna, Vegetable Soup, Salmon Tartare, Clams and Cuttlefish.

We loved this restaurant, the tapas were excellent, I recommend the garlic prawns we had them almost every day! Really nice decor inside and very clean also the service was superb, Felipe was our favourite waiter but all of them were great.

Had a lovely meal here tonight. Lovely food, fresh and different tastes, not oily like some food in Portugal ! Nice wine by the glass. Very friendly and efficient service. Recommended.

Customer service was spot on, the waiters really helped us make an informed choice. Answered our questions with great enthusiasm and energy.

The table service was on point👌. New dishes when needed and asked us if we needed anything else.

Food was incredibly fresh and tasty. We especially liked the desserts on offer as they showcased Portuguese desserts. Other places nearby in our experience had the usual Crème brûlée etc

We chose a random selection of their tapas dishes, accompanied by a delicious bottle of Portuguese wine selected from their wine list. All the hot tapas dishes we had here were well prepared, piping hot, and full of flavour. Thankfully the salads we ordered were also much more sophisticated here than the usual shredded carrots/sweet corn/iceberg lettuce type salads currently served in too many Portuguese restaurants. We also tried some of their fresh homemade deserts which certainly didn’t disappoint! So the chefs here definitely deserve our compliments.The service on the night we were there was also reasonably good.

Good drinks and nice tapas! Lots of selection of very different and unusual taps that may sound weird but really work well. Definitely worth trying them even if they seem different. Can't wait to go back and try more of these. Sangria really good and good other drink selection.

We visited Mira last year in September and it was perfect. The food is amazing and the staff is super kind. We went back a few times those two weeks. The one with the strawberries and ansjovis was so weird but so good. Everything with octopus was awesome.

Love it! Beautiful decor and delicious oysters. They weren’t serving cocktails when I arrived however the wine was very nice. 9/10

We stumbled across this lovely restaurant by chance. The service is friendly and efficient. The food is delicious. We wanted a light lunch so ordered the couvert of bread, fish mousse, herb butter, olives and carrots. This was accompanied by their flavoursome sauted mushrooms, and a dish of toasted goat cheese on slices of apple with pumpkin relish and almonds.

We were lucky to find this spot on a day most places were closed in Tavira. The place has excellent tapas and fish dishes. They also have a mice wine list. Service was excellent. We recommend it.
