Very nice place to have drinks and food. Very courteous staff and super helpful. The only issue is that the staff doesn't speak English but overall a very good experience.

Really liked this place, which was recommended by a friend. Lovely balcony with a cooling breeze (but limited seating), friendly waitress and the mixed fish grill was three fish dishes (sea bass, sea bream and something with no English name..!). Good food, good price, though the cheesecake was a bit disappointing. Definitely recommend. 😀

Excelent option for your holidays! We had Arroz de Marisco and Arroz de Lingueirão, which were both outstanding — we liked it so much, we came back in the day after! Service was also amazing. Just do not forget to book a table ahead because they get filled super fast! If you do it in advance, you might be able to even get a table upstairs with a view of the river.

Have been visiting Cabanas for in excess of 10 years and had never visited. What a mistake on my part. This is a Fantastic restaurant. Food was Excellent, the Service was Excellent and was exceptional value for money. Make sure you visit when in Cabanas. You will not be disappointed.

We ate a delicious 3 course lunch here last Friday (so compliments to the chefs) and sat at a table on their open-air balcony overlooking the sea, with a bottle of Portuguese Douro white selected from their wine list. The service was friendly and professional (we were looked after by Refath - correct spelling hopefully ?) who also spoke excellent English. We’re back in Cabanas over Christmas, so all being well we intend to eat here again!

We arrived quite late, with the restaurant just about to close, but we were accepted and served with a smile, which is one of the most important things in a restaurant (in every business, in fact...), for me.
The restaurant is in the first floor of the local market, which means you'll have to take the stairs (no elevator). It has an indoor room and a small balcony with a couple of tables, where we stayed.
We ordered fish (sardines, tuna steak and fish & chips) and everything was great. The vinagret was so good I ate it all with the spoon, just like a soup! 🤓
The desserts were algo fantastic, especially the tradicional Dom Rodrigo, a must try.

My boyfriend asked the local fisherman what his favorite restaurant was and he pointed us to this restaurant. Fabulous fresh grilled fish and lovely appetizers. We will definitely be back!

First time at this restaurant and so good we went back the following evening, beautiful cooked fish, we started with Grilled prawns in a beautiful mango sauce, absolutely delightful! I had the fish and chips, which was wonderfully cooked, moist with a light batter, and they keep bringing you more fish, until you tell them to stop! My wife had the douba fish stuffed with, mushrooms, spinach, cheese etc and Salad which was delightful. The staff were attentive and cheerful, especially Paulo (l think his name was) would definetly recommend.

I highly recommend their rodízio fish: they'll serve you with some of the most popular, yet not the most expensive, delicious fish combined with salad, potatoes and, if you want, olives and bread, which I enjoyed with two cups of a refreshing white wine. We love the diverse language, cultures ambiance; the service and attention were really excellent, without forgetting the really "compassionate" prices👍😀

What, can I say... Have the mixed fish grill. Its a never ending procession of superbly cooked fish of all local, varieties. It only, stops when you say so. To balance the taste, have the house white that is delicate and full bodied at the same time.
All in all, a superb lunch which will never break the bank.

Visited today and we were made welcome by Isobel who waited our table, The food was lovely and wine perfect. We would definitely be visiting again. Very satisfied and relaxed atmosphere in the outside terrace.

Check out the fish and chips for sure. Not necessarily the most authentically British fish you will ever have, the batter is done a little differently, but their recipe is very tasty. It will definitely satisfy any cravings you have of fish and chips.

i went in at lunchtime and booked a table for 7 o'clock that (Thursday) evening. The patron was apologetic that no balcony table would be available. When we arrived we were treated as honoured guests and ours was a window table which was (for us) every bit as good as the balcony - the view was to die for. Gill ordered crab pate for starter while I had fish soup - both served quickly and both of high quality. For main, Gill chose linguine with salmon in a rich cheese sauce and I the fish mixed grill. Gill loved hers and I was dismayed by the breadth of mine. First a platter of three different fish, (with chips and mixed salad) and then when I'd waded manfully through all three, another four of yet different varieties arrived and would I like some more still? I wasn't sure whether they could be serious, so I said 'Yes' and sure enough, as I finished my seventh fish, a large golden bream arrived with another dish of chips and another of mixed salad. We'd washed it all down with a jug of sangria, and I could manage only a single ball of ice-cream for pudding and Gill had a crepe. We declined coffee but were served a complimentary liqueur. Gill worried what it was all going to cost and was amazed that the bill was only 54 Euros. Waiters had danced attendance throughout and made us feel special. Though this was our first visit, the patron personally thanked us for coming and saw us off, having taken the trouble to remember our names. A lovely evening out.

The best fish rodizio for excellent price! The staff is very friendly and the desserts and coffee are spectacular! Definitely a must when visiting the zone.

Amazing! This restaurants only serves fresh fish, it was super delicious and not too expensive. Additionally, the service was very good. I can only highly recommend everyone to visit this restaurant if you want to eat good fish :)

Lovely spot overlooking the sea on an upstairs balcony.Ypu need to arrive early for a meal as it's very popular.Opens at 1.00pm for lunch.
