Café Clipper

Fantastic place to have a drink and to grab traditional Portuguese bar food. Ricardo, the owner is an awesome guy, serves delicious prego no prato and bifanas, all rounded up with Azorean beer Munich. The guests are very friendly people and chatting while having a beer has never been so easy. Definitely one of the mandatory places when in Ponta Delgada! This is a local spot to get breakfast. The owner is so nice, sweet, and accommodating. You really have to experience one of these coffee shops to get a glimpse of local culture in the Azores. The ham and cheese sandwich was simple, nice, and light and the espresso was strong :). If you’re on a budget come by for the ham and cheese sandwich, coffee, and experience.

What a fabulous place, spotlessly clean with great value snacks and drinks. They kindly organised putting France v Wales Rugby match on for us too. Top notch service all round.

Place with a memories of the past Ponta Delgada on the walls. Very good coffe and welcoming owner. Place, when you can drink a beer with both locals and tourists.

Cafe Clipper is a little bar where the locals go in Downtown Ponta Delgada, we used it most nights they serve a lovely Gin Tonic and the price is very reasonable.

Local haunt with very friendly people. It’s nothing fancy but the hospitality is second to none from the staff to the local Azorean people.
