Beautiful beach. Perfect place for relaxing with family and friends. Must visit when you are in Faro. Very nice restaurant close by and clean public toilets.

Interestesting experience. Took the little slow train to the beach (4eu a/r adult ticket on the spot, or you can go walking), and got to this wide and clear beach.
Immidiatly you can spot the anchors cemetery, and after just relax on the beach.

Lovely sandy beach, the waves of the sea, gives you a good workout, (no need to visit the gym) 🤣 beautiful sunset.

Relaxing place you can take the whole family. The anchors are a curiosity and can get good pictures of them. But the beach itself is the main attraction here. Nice waves, sandy beach, good place to lay down and take in the sounds of the waves. Food didn't look outrageous, but we came for a picnic so didn't bother with the eateries.

Well worth a visit, lovely beach, short walk to beach or get the small railway train. Anchor graveyard with local history of the Tuna industry.

Really interesting place to visit. The anchors represent the demise of the tuna fishing industry in this area. Beach is lovely. There are some facilities close by.

What a surreal experience. Hundreds of ship anchors left abandoned off the beach by the fisherman who left the area after the tuna fishing industry dried up.

Worth the visit, and the adjacent Barril beach is so beautiful.

Especially when the weather is right, this historic place gives off an epic vibe. Surely this place has been photographed thousands of times. But every angle is different. In any case, this place is worth a visit.

Beautiful white sandy beach, reachable by foot or by touristic train, from parking. Restaurants and all facilities there. Worth visiting

Such a wonderful, calm place to go to, loved it. Weather was great, beach is clean and lovely.

I'll be back, not been for a few years. Oh as you can see, the train is so much fun 😄 😀

Beautiful anchor display honoring the tuna fleet. Walked from tavira beach it was about 5km each way. The food is more expensive at this spot.

Lovely beach. We were there in January so more walking than swimming. We really enjoyed it. We took the little train out and walked back. Wonderful sandy beach. Great little Cafe was open. Looks like there are some bigger restaurants but they were closed in January.

Lovely beach with good cafes and facilities. The little train which delivers you to the beach and back is brilliant.

Anchors used for fishing on Tavira Island, Portugal. Evocative, monumental, dramatic.

Enjoy the lovely 20-minute walk there and catch the train back if you are tired (or have small children). Late afternoon is the best for the softer, more photogenic light that brings the rusty colours of the anchors to life.

Lovely beach, excellent place to walk for kilometres, East or west clean and tranquil space.

Oddly haunting to see so many anchors on dry land. The beach is huge, you're sure to find a quiet spot if you are willing to walk far enough...
The walk is 1.1 km or you can pay 2 euros each way for the train
