Restaurante Estradinho

We spent two weeks in Ponta Delgada and ate mostly at Estradinho. Good fish and beef, amazing atmosphere, family friendly. Highly recommended.

I have been to Sao Miguel many times, I just found this restaurant and it has the best food from any other. The food is just as my mother prepared it. The taste is tops! The atmosphere is nice and the service was excellent. My go to restaurant from now on!

3rd meal in Ponta Delgada and the best so far. Swordfish steak good salad, pineapple, Red fish, salad and pineapple cake, cheese and bread starter, 1/2 litre of wine, a medium beer, water. This place is a little gem. Going again. Don't be put off by the location.

Cozy little restaurant serving local dishes. Always ask for the catch of day! We had the limpets, red fish and dorade fish. All of them were very delicious, well seasoned, fairly priced and generous portions. We really enjoyed the evening and we can only recommend this place. The service was also very friendly. Make sure to make reservation on time, always full house!

A nice traditional family operated restaurant that's been around longer than some of the antique radios on display. Decor and atmosphere is genuine but maybe not as curated as more popular places. Food is very good and the owner and backend staff were going nonstop to please our group and the other diners. Beware: cash only so come prepared!

Go here and eat! The boss can recommend the best fresh catch of the day. We had insanely good grilled and fried fish. You get welcomed with local cheese variety and fresh bread. Chefe has super good cold white and red local whine. The restaurant is full of antiquity. Mamas cooking in the back of the resto. Prices are cheap compared to the quality you get. Go here and have a great experience you can tell at home!

Food was amazing ! Great service ! The best selection of fish I've seen....
After we finished our meal we asked one of the owners who also happened to be our waiter to call us a cab the airport to catch our flights.. he was happy to do it
The cab company kept telling him 10 minutes 40 minutes later no cab and the owners the husband and wife decided to close the restaurant and personally drive us to the airport free of charge

I have never seen anyone ever go this far to help 2 strangers who just dined in

Absolutely lovely place with awesome service, from the moment you walk in you are treated like you are visiting relatives - so 5 stars for that.

We had many different dining experiences during our stay for 7 days and Estradinho was undouptedly the best experience for us - even beating Obaco fine dining experience.

All the dishes were thought out and all the taste was there. Grilled fish was super! Price was exeptionally good and 1L of local white wine which was superb was just 10 eur.

I would definatelly suggest you to give a visit and try out yourself. Thank you!

Quality food and kindest service in Ponta Delgada, it feels like home!
My top recommendation would be the tuna steak “rare”, delicious.
Also if you want to end with a sweet taste, don’t miss the pineapple cake, one of the best in the island.

If you go here just expect a wait especially if you have a large party but well worth the wait! Jon was wonderful and the food was delicious comfort food.

We've been here twice because I wanted to try my luck again for fresh tuna which wasn't on the menu the first time we went here. We were not dissapointed.
The fish - salmon an tuna - was absolutely delicious. We also had the tradicional beef steak twice which was perfectly medium.
And because people tend to compare: I would never find myself lucky to find such fresh fish for this very reasonable price at home. So totally 5/5 would absolutely recommend!

Excellent service, very good food. The waiter was very kind, the place itself felt like home. The Ponta Delgada steak was delicious! We also had lime cake and flan - both desserts exceeded our expectations.

Superb food, we relly liked the fish and the very nice staff. The atmosphere is excellent and the prices were surprisingly low compared to quality. We dropped in from the street and were very lucky to have a table immediately, others later had to wait, so booking a table in advance is highly recommended.

We had a lovely evening in this very local restaurant. Great and funny waiter. Super yummi seafood. We had a great time.
