I did wait a bit to be seated but the food was just great . Very good prices . You much. Try not get put off by the location. Cheap and great food

Great little café/bar offering the usual fare as well as some more traditional dishes. Food is very reasonably priced as well as being very tasty. Staff are fantastic. Very friendly and accommodating. Options for either sitting indoors or out.

Went twice over two days for lunch and had a mix of dishes both days. I enjoyed the mushroom braz style and the cheese omelette. Staff are really lovely, nice outdoor.

Had a lovely lunch today. The place was mega busy, but we were served food off the menu very quickly, service was very good. The place was very clean and is bigger than appears from outside. We will be back.

We have passed this place so many times saying we should try it. On Monday we did, we had the meal of the day. I had baby Squid and my wife had the pork and bean stew. Plus a large beer and carafe of wine. The food was amazing. The staff were friendly as was the owner Sophia. This place is busy from early morning a testament to quality and cost, which was €19.50 for the two of us, amazing value

The food is tasty and well presented. Staff are friendly and attentive, checking that you are happy with your meal. There's a bright and airy feel to Sophia's and I will be frequenting it often

This simple but busy snack bar provides more than your usual snacks and small bites. It has 2 daily plates (prato do dia) which are traditional, very tasty and very good value for money. Mafalda, owner is very accommodating, friendly and knowledgeable. I would highly recommend, but expect to wait for a table at lunchtimes. Well done guys, a jewel in Monte de Alvor. I salute you.

Sophias is a traditional village snack- bar serving traditional Portuguese food and drinks. Great value for money in all area but brilliant for the plate of the day. Friendly service and a place to just chill.
