This wedding venue must be considered if you're looking to get married in Algarve. The golf courses, the palm trees and the classic decoration of the hotel create a really beautiful atmosphere!

Stunning asset. Needs a little TLC but I loved the short stay. You can jogg or golf yourself dizzy. Super hospitable team. Good culinary experience, next time with the family

I was fortunate to stay for a golfing break at the Penina at the end of April for four nights along with eleven other ladies. I can’t praise the staff enough for the care and attention they showed us. Our luggage and golf clubs were taken to our rooms which were spotless and welcoming.
We had arranged to rent buggies when we booked and were very grateful as it was unseasonably warm whilst we were there. Each day they were lined up and our golf clubs were near by and all we had to do was play the game!!
Each evening the buffet tables had a great array and artfully arranged food to choose from.
Our thanks goes to Christie and all the staff working at the hotel for our most enjoyable mini break. I do hope that we repeat it next year.

What a fantastic Hotel and Golf Resort, we were greeted every day with a smile and a worm welcome, food was fantastic also the waiting staff, there was so much food to enjoy. This is are 2 year at Penina and we will be back next year God willing.

It's my 6th visit together with Portuguese family members.
Great spacious building and the grounds inclusive golf quite breath-taking. We have great appreciation of staff members at, reservations- at breakfast that remember us and interact during our staff. At grill dinner we had a really great and memorable personalized service and food (birthday).
Some pool time and drinks at night on the ourside patio excellent. Though on the patio staff shortage makes it quite self service...to be looked at.
Overall we see the property very very positively following the hard pandemic times experienced and we highly recommend it.
We go back again soon.

Great environment, beautiful and amazing staff, great service and an adorable experience

Excellent Hotel, great service. Golf course was generally in good condition apart from some of the fairways have seen better days. Greens were fantastic. Alvor is €12 away in a taxi for a night out, nice family oriented area, quiet with a good atmosphere. Great Stay!!

The Hotel is very nice with plenty of beautiful spot where to enjoy and relax. I have been there to host a business meeting. The real added Value of the Hotel was Patricia, always available, effective and ( really) flexible.

The meeting was outstanding ( participants are still talking about it) and I want to underline again that support received from the hotel staff ( Patricia’s team) was above expectations.

We did also a team event ( golf training and little competition) with rewards and it was really enjoyable .

If you are looking to have a business meeting + team event… I’d suggest you to talk to Patricia!

Penina Hotel and Golf resort is classic 5 star, built in the 1960's and with a rich history of golf and celebrity guests. Perhaps its from a different era and arguably slightly dated but the class remains. Service is impeccable and genuinely warm and friendly. The Championship golf courses like the hotel, maybe dated but still a richly rewarding experience. This place has earned a special place in my heart and has provided treasured memories over several years.

We stayed at this hotel for 7 nights in February and played on the courses every day. The hotel is quant very comfortable with good breakfast option and 3 different dinner options. The lunch offer was a bit limited and slow, so if your teetime is somewhere after 12 you might have very limited time for lunch (hopefully this is only outside the season). The courses are great with a very beautiful and charging championship course. We certainly enjoyed our time in the resort.

We booked this hotel purely by chance as a last minute booking following a difficult few months. From the minute we arrived it was clear to see that the focus was on us as customers. The staff were incredible - helpful, welcoming, but above all friendly. This was apparent throughout the hotel and as time went on we felt as if they had known us for years, acknowledging us by name and always remembering our favourite drinks and food order. The hotel is amazing, good rooms, great atmosphere and environment and the restaurants and quality of food is superb. I must say that Sandro and Marianne are stand out individuals who deserve credit for all they do as does Duarte who is on the golf department who always went out his way to help my lad and after a couple of days always had our specific clubs ready for us to use.
I could go on but won’t, but will say I have never wished to return to the same hotel before but on this occasion we will without doubt be here again next year and look forward to seeing everyone again.

Three nights stay with two rounds of golf. Everything was excellent. Dined twice in the grill restaurant both times the food and service were great.
Really enjoyed the golf as the course is in very good condition.
Although the hotel is a little old the service and staff more than compensate for this. Will be back next year. Thank you.

An elegant hotel with friendly staff, a great golf course and nice restaurants. The Nespresso machine in the rooms is a nice touch but bring your favourite capsules the choice is limited to ‘one’. The breakfast buffet is lovely make them open the sect sparkling wine ! “Because you are worth it” and you are paying for it!!!

A Henry Cotton inspired Golf Resort with a 18 hole championship course, fantastic practice facilities and 9 hole Academy course.

we arrived on 28/3/2022 for 4nights 4 of us played 4 rounds of golf on the championship course, the course, was in fantastic condition the rooms were comfortable food was excellent in all of restaurants ,we all had a good time at pennia we will be back well done 👍
