Familiar names from the UK. A little pricey for here but you are paying for brand names and products you know. The perfect place to augment your shopping. This location is big enough to have a good variety. We pop in about every 2 weeks.

I like it a lot. Not expensive, and with good choices and opportunities to buy some English products. Great job!

I adore this shop. Been living in Portugal five years & haven’t had the chance to visit Ireland since the pandemic so I was delighted to get my Barry’s tea here. As well as some childhood favourites… cheese strings, dairylee dunkers… and of course tayto crisps! They even have brennans bread in the freezer section and Irish black & white pudding & kerrygold butter… as well as tons of other things.

Thank you for giving me a much needed taste of home<3

It's a pleasure to spend money here; the staff are so pleasant, the products are good, it's clean, tidy & efficient. & the music...I could dance down every aisle. Serenade the pork pies. Iceland's got talent.

Great store to grab some of those home comforts you may be missing. Really well laid out, clean and well stocked. Nice wide aisles, ideal for buggies, wheelchairs and trolleys. Some great offers when I visited and reasonably price considering products are imported from UK. Very pleasant English speaking staff serving quickly at the checkouts. Stockists of Iceland and Waitrose.

Absolutely brilliant. It may be owned by Iceland but the range of all those English foods you miss is excellent. And the prices are very good. Unlike a lot of small English supermarkets where you do pay for the privelige. Parking easy as well. To top it all the lady on the till was English.

We arrived in Alvor, The Algarve, at the end of January for a 3 month winter break. We were caught in the Covid 19 lockdown from the very beginning and we are still here, 5 months down the line, but going home on Tuesday 30:June from Bilbao. That’s after 3 cancellations.
How does that affect our shopping experience. Well, we discovered Waitrose and Iceland about 2 months into our holiday and at the very beginning of the lockdown. Once found, we have been back at least once a week, for our English shopping. The freezer section is typically Iceland and carries most goods you would expect to find in an Iceland at home. Slimming world meals, Curry, Chinese and we tried them all, more than once. No complaints at all.
The butchers section did some splendidly tasty piri piri chicken kebabs and the chicken breast fillet are huge. The meat section looked tasty but we didn’t get round to the beef or lamb.
The shelves are well stocked, but you have to be quick to catch some of the British goods. They fly off the shelves. However, nobody gets upset or bun fights in the aisles for toilet rolls or disinfectant. All very civilised and all observing the rules on distancing and masks. Very British. We are looking forward to coming here again.

Which brings me onto the main reason for my review. The Staff who work at the British supermarket are the most helpful people I have ever come across in a supermarket. Ask a question and they went out of their way to answer the question or find a solution that was to our satisfaction. Great staff who were always friendly and happy to stop for a chat. I just wanted to say thank you from my wife and I for helping me to spend my hard earned pocket money in your wonderful establishment.

We will be back again in a couple of years and I am certain that we will shop here again.

Thank You Everyone.

Love it love it love it! What more can I say!!!! This supermarket had everything I had been craving for from the UK, and more that I hadn't even realised I missed! I felt like a child running round the aisles grabbing items excitedly!
I know a lot of people say its expensive, and sure, compared to Lidl etc it is, but the stock you are buying is worth every cent in my opinion!
Long may you continue Overseas Iceland - thank you for being in Portugal! I will see you again in some of your other branches in Spain soon! ;)

If you like British food and beverages a "must-go". You can buy all the British cheese, salads, sweets, beer etc. and they also have a big variety of frozen food. The staff is extremely friendly.

First British stock shop to open in Portimão, before this only place which was close was Iceland in Albufeira, friendly staff and a little coffee shop where you can eat some cake and drink some coffee. Overall a good experience, and a good place to come buy products that are exclusive to England.

The store is a godsend for British and American expats. They carry a lot of items that can't typically be found in traditional Portuguese grocery stores.
