Great stay. The service is top notch. They provide you with a lunch bag for when you visit Machu Picchu. The location is excellent located in the old part of the city, very unique. Only complaint was the rooms don’t have sound proofing. Other than that excellent experience.

We only stayed here for a night but we loved it. The location is excellent! It's in the old part of the city and about a 5 minute walk to the city centre. The rooms and common spaces were super cute and very clean. The sheets are not necessarily 5-star hotel quality but for a small provincial hotel, they were adequate. After 23-hours of traveling, we appreciated the shower with hot water.

We kind of wish that we just stayed in this hotel for another night because we had a horrendous experience in our Aguas Calientes hotel the next day. I think we would have been better off taking the late train back to Ollantaytambo after our Machu Picchu trek and stayed at Intitambo for another night.

If you're looking for a good hotel with friendly staff and nice surroundings, this hotel is for you. If they're available, you can request for a room on the 3rd floor of the main building. You will wake up to an amazing view of the Temple of the Sun ruins.

We stayed here the night before the beginning of our Inca Trail. As soon as we arrived, Jordan, the receptionist, gave us some information about places to visit and, of course, helped us with our suitcases. The room was simple, but comfortable and clean. Water from shower was hot and with good pressure. The patio on the third floor, which overlooks the Ollantaytambo Arqueological Site, is just awesome: we could have spent hours admiring the view from there.
They kept our suitcases until we came back from our Inca Trail four days later, which was a great idea, since we had time to relax and visit the town a bit more.
Breakfast was very good and there was water and a variety of tea available the 24 hours.
Jordan was really helpful the day we left too, as he carried our luggage to the taxi that was waiting for us a block from the hotel.
We had a great time! No luxuries, but great service at an excellent price!!!

We had such a comfortable stay at Intitambo. The location was great, close to the centre but far away enough so it’s quiet. The rooms were clean, the breakfast was plentiful and the hot showers were much appreciated after long sightseeing days. The roof top has not only a great view over the ruins, but is also the best place for stargazing at night.

More akin to a hostel experience in some ways, but I really enjoyed my brief stay here.
The staff were fantastic and helpful.
Rooms were clean and reasonably spacious.
Bathroom facilities were adequate.
The terrance on the third floor, where my room was, offered great views of the local Inca ruins.
Breakfast was better than expected - juices, coca tea and leaves, yoghurt drinks, scrambled eggs, basic ham/cheese.
Overall, a great experience.

Great budget hotel. Ask for a room on the third floor. The terrace has amazing views of the ruins on both sides. The walk from the train station is about 15 minutes, but it is uphill. I would try to catch a tuk tuk/taxi if possible to take you most of the way. The streets around the hotel are inaccessible to cars so pack light or be prepared to carry your luggage. The roads are not smooth for a roller bag.

This place was AMAZING. The staff went out of their way far and beyond to make us feel welcomed. I was working remotely, and the wifi was great (bring you cable to connect to the modem just incase)-- the breakfast was delicious, but the best part was the views from the terrace. I would come back for sure!

My fiance and her parents spent 5 days in the Cusco area and we stayed at 3 different hotels. Intitambo was by far the best experience. Not one complaint. Very charming hotel. The location, cleanliness, décor, food were all great. The best part were the staff. All were very helpful and went our of their way to make our stay great. One morning we were catching the train to Machu Picchu before breakfast was served. We each had an amazing bag lunch waiting for us that morning. I hope I have the opportunity to return one day.

Simply the best. Great room. Oustanding breakfast. The friendliest staff who knew enough English to make up for my little Spanish. A terrific bargain. We stayed 5 nights, enough time to hike and enjoy the beauty of the valley and a side trip to macchu picchu. Come to the Sacred Valley and stay at the Intitambo.

Simple and friendly hotel and staff. Everything is clean, neat and very cozy. From the terrace above the floor you can see wonderful views from all sides.

My husband and I stayed for 3 days so that we could visit Machu Picchu. Lindsay at the front desk arranged our guides for the ruin sites and went above and beyond her duties to make our stay a great experience. The hotel is clean and the breakfast is delicious.

Really nice hotel with a view on the Inca terraces well beyond the modest cost of the clean bedroom. Only a few minutes walk from the central plaza. So many eating options, from local menu of the day (18 soled) to upscale fine dining. Spend a few days in Ollantaytambo, either before or after Machu Picchu.

Great little hotel in a central location. We were lucky enough to grab a room on the rooftop and had a great view of the Ollantaytambo ruins. The staff are very helpful and friendly.

Unfortunately, I wasn’t able to stay here because my boyfriend got sick but they were so friendly in helping me cancel the reservation, waiving the cancellation fee! I passed it while I was in Ollantaytambo later on and it looks great. Highly recommend staying here if you can, on account of the very friendly staff.
