Great tasting food, especially for the price! The restaurant is on two different floors with the ground floor being more a gift shop while upstairs is a nice seating area and bar. Service us great and speaks English. The pollo a la plancha is a great deal. You get four large chicken wings and three sides, plus hot sauces. The dishes are all pretty to look at and smell great.

JUST GO!!

Absolutely loved the food, service and ambience. They only source and make local dishes so don’t expect pizzas and regular fair.

Kids will love the trick shown by co-owner Jose 😍

Don’t miss trying the dish I tagged in the pic. Loved it 😋

Exquisite Cocktails in the Heart of Ollantaytambo - A Must-Visit at Chuncho: The sours at Chuncho deserve a special mention. These weren't just your average sours; they were a journey through unique tastes and aromas. Each sour was distinct, with a depth of flavor that was both refreshing and invigorating. The use of local ingredients added an authentic touch, making each sip a testament to the rich culinary heritage of the region. To complement our drinks, we indulged in the mini flight of desserts. This was a delightful parade of mini-treats, each offering a burst of flavor and a perfect end to our evening. The creativity in these desserts was impressive, combining traditional elements with a modern twist, making each bite a delightful surprise.

Chuncho redefines traditional Peruvian cuisine with a focus on local sourcing. While it's slightly pricier, the exceptional dining experience justifies the cost.

Walk right in, and you'll feel that cozy yet fancy vibe – the perfect place for a memorable munch. We ordered chicken and trout, which were both delicious. The presentation of the food was amazing. It looked like something you would find in a fancy restaurants in east village in NYC.

The host took the time to explain all the ingredients they used and why they used them. It was like a crash course in Peruvian cuisine, and it made the meal even more special. So, if you're in Ollantaytambo and hankering for a fancy yet down-to-earth Peruvian grub spot that supports the locals, this place is a must-stop.

Came here for lunch without a reservation and were offered a seat on the balcony with a nice view of the plaza. We ordered a pisco sour along with the baked free-range chicken and a vegetable side. Quinoa fritters that came with the dishes were amazing. Do try out Chuncho if you come by Ollantaytambo.

This restaurant is the best I have every experienced in S. America. I am a Globe Trotter. Am 100% organic, my daughter is a renowned organic chef for professional high profile athletes; what I'm saying is that we have a palette for good food and this place is the best ever! The flavors are paired well, it's organic mostly from their soil rich farms here in the Andes but all is local! It's incredible - I would come back here just to be able to eat here for a week and try all the dishes. Treat yourself and put this on your list to do!

Really good, local traditional dishes sourcing only local ingredients done really well. Although more expensive than a “menu” in cusco it was definitely worth jt. Fine dining without the fine dining price.

Also really like the cocktails, a good selection of the classics but again done with a local flair, the use a bunch of the spirits from the local destilería. Súper with visiting there too!!

Super friendly staff, incredible, interesting and unique local food and oh my lord the cocktails are amazing. If you are in town make sure to check out this place, it was amazing!

Highlights were the salad with cured alpaca 🦙 the stuffed peppers and the cold dried potatoes with cheese were very interesting.

It was a great local meal!

A very welcome surprise in the food scene of Ollantaytambo. You can tell they have put a lot of thought into this place, from the presentation of the dishes, the decor, and the well crafted cocktails. Staff is very friendly and accommodating, add to that the great views of the square and the delicious food, and you got a real winner. Recommended!

Fantastic food that you won’t find anywhere else. They only use local ingredients from their organic farm to make traditional recipes from the region. Delicious and one of a kind.

A hidden gem in the quaint town of Ollantaytambo in Peru.

The place in located on the second floor, cozy, amazing food and service. They work with in season local produce which makes the experience so much better. There is a good number os dishes and also the option to order a paired dinner which is what I chose and it was amazing.

I was told that menu changes regularly to accommodate the seasons so it a great way to come back and try new things. Their cocktails are unbelievable, they use local spirits produced very close by at a local distillery which is a part of the restaurant. (that is another place you have to visit).

I highly recommend this spot if you are ever in Peru, you will not be disappointed, it is Michelin caliber food and service.

Stop over for casual lunch, but was a delightful surprise. The main restaurant is on the second floor with long bar serving interesting cocktails. Cute, cozy and modern. The menu is quaint and delicious! They also provide salt from maras to season the food.

Love the concept of this restaurant. It's a celebration of the food of the Sacred Valley. I had a very good espresso martini and a flavourful pumpkin soup - which was green, to my surprise but eventually my delight. I don't think this is the cheapest place in the town, but we enjoyed the experience and would recommend for people who like knowing the story behind their food.

Wow! Stop reading reviews and just go!!! This is the best meal I’ve had in South America. The menu is unique and creative and all of the food is locally sourced and incredibly fresh. We are vegetarians and we’re pleasantly surprised by the wide range of options. We left absolutely stuffed. Prices are very reasonable especially considering the quality of the food. To top it off, the service was fantastic and our server was very good about explaining all the ingredients and where they came from. It’s unlike any meal I’ve ever had in all the best ways possible. This will be a meal I’ll remember forever.

Everything was delicious! And the local-made matacuy which are used in many cocktails here were so tasty. I loved my lamb and guinea pig platter as well as dessert trio. My favorite of desserts was the cinnamon quinoa-- the chocolate truffle was delicious too!

Loved the cocktails. Food was well seasoned, and prepared using local techniques/ingredients that we haven't tasted before - yummy. The staff (everyone) was so nice and attentive. The balcony has a nice advantage view of the town square, another plus.pl
