Apu Veronica Restaurant

Ate here a couple times and it's always perfect! If you are craving an amazing safe salad, this is my go-to. The meat is also cooked perfectly. If you want a fun cuy experience this is definitely the spot!

We ate here twice. We were drawn by the organic food options and the many choices for people with gluten allergies. That said, watch out for the side sauces. Almost all of them have gluten and the servers are inconsistent in terms of knowing which is which.

The food comes out on these large wooden platters with some serious stoneware. If you order a hot dish, the stone will be burning hot. The portions are big and come with many vegetables.

The food was the best yet in Peru, presentation exceeded expectations. The meat was so juicy and tender. The drinks were so good. Service was attentive. Even the chef came out to check on us. Would definitely recommend coming here!!

Definitely recommend. Had the lomo saltado and mango juice. Both were awesome. With a view overlooking the river. Attentive service.

Came here on our first day and was blown away by the food here. I loved every single dish and its presentation. The prices were also quite reasonable.

Best local restaurant in Ollantaytambo!
The dishes are delicious and are made with very good quality ingredients, their cocktails are incredible, the quantities are huge too!
We feel that it was prepared with love!

This was without a doubt my favorite restaurant in Ollantaytambo. I ate all but one of my meals here, and one I didn’t eat here, I sat sort of wishing I had.

The food is downright incredible. Delicious, fresh, filled with vegetables & thoughtful. Every meal I ate was delicious. The presentation of each dish is beautiful & intentional- making for wonderful photos as well!

During my time in Ollantaytambo I tried the hummus appetizer, pumpkin soup, garden salad, roasted duck entree, and the vegetable kabob entree. All are pictured below, except the duck. The vegetable kabob came out on a sizzling hot plate, it was amazing. The roasted duck was some of the best I’ve had, gently crispy on the outside though tender and moist on the inside. The Andean hummus bites were out of this world delicious! And the salad was loaded with so many vegetables, including deliciously sautéed oyster mushrooms, which is exactly what we needed.

The service was good for the most part, slow at times, but everyone was so kind each time, and since I was in no rush, the occasional slowness didn’t bother me.

Don’t make the mistake of passing through Ollantaytambo without having at least one meal at this lovely restaurant. Unlike a lot of the tourist trap restaurants in Ollantaytambo, the menu is intentional, soulful and delicious.

A great spot offering some good local Peruvian dishes. The portion were large and the food tasted really delicious. Highly recommend if around the area. Well recommended by many.

Wow. As an eater with incredibly higher standards, Apu Veronica exceeded them greatly. The trout ceviche was so fresh and the lamb steak was cooked and seasoned to perfection. Just wow. Trust me on this!

Excellent food, quirky presentation, we were 17 for dinner all the food was great, busy restaurant so a bit slow but worth the wait lots of fresh organic ingredients, most had the burritos, vegetarian one was also v good.
It was my son's 20th and they presented him with a lovely cake. Great place.

EAT AT APU VICTORIA!!! IT IS SO GOOD!! This restaurant was a 10/10 for us. We had a disappointing dinner close to the Plaza de Armas the night before we came to this restaurant so our expectations were low, but this place was beyond amazing. We got the Andean Hummus (HIGHLY RECOMMEND), vegetarian burritos and the chicken which came out sizzling hot and delicious. The food was incredible, the presentation of the food even more impressive, and staff was kind and helpful. Do yourself a favor and have a meal at this place, you will not regret it.

I really enjoyed the food! We went there for thanksgiving dinner with friends, I chose fajitas (it’s surely enough for two people) and my friends had meat and chicken “on the rocks” (carne a la piedra / pollo a la piedra). The food was delicious, the portions are really huge. It’s a bit pricey but the quality and quantity explains that. I love local food and small, local bars but from time to time it’s nice to go to Apu Veronica for a bit of luxury. It’s definitely a very good restaurant.

The food here was incredible. Had my first alpaca anticucho and it was delicious!

I just don’t understand how I could eat the salad lol I could not even toss it so I used my hands to eat it but even then it was still messy hahaha but I had fun.

We had the trout and the pork. Both excellently presented. Both tasted great. Lovely staff. Great window seat. Our best meal in peru by miles. Great local craft ales too

My wife and I had dinner at Apu Veronica. The food was delicious and the service was phenomenal. We brought our 4 month old child to dinner and the staff was super accommodating to us. The owner even offered to hold our baby so we could eat an uninterrupted meal. As new parents, we were incredibly grateful to have both hands to eat dinner! We had three meats on the hot stone which were all delicious! There were other visitors that were very friendly and contributed to a great experience. I’d highly recommend this restaurant!
