Great views. Good restaurants and the vendors are much less aggressive than in Cusco.
Local events take place all the time so grab a snack and join in!!

There are lots of places to eat and all the same food. There are plenty of people coming and going from all over the world, making it a wonderful place to meet new friends.

A must visiting when in Peru. The gateway to Machu Picchu, a magical and mystical place full of history and amazing archaeology.

Lovely park plaza with fountains and some great architecture. This must surely give Cusco a great sense of pride in their community with this nucleus of activity surrounded by some great restaurants and retailers.

Nice little plaza surrounded by several shops that have much of what you may have forgotten before hitting the Inca Trail: hats, ponchos, snacks, ATM, and even a small pharmacy if you need altitude medicine.

Cute little town! Definitely do the hike to the face in the cliff of the mountain behind the town.

This place is a must. There was a graduation celebration happening the day that I arrived. The night life is a must to experience there too. I was impressed with all the security cameras monitored by the local police. Very safe yet you are free to be yourself.

This plaza is really cool and the fact that it is near Ollantaytambo is pretty dang cool as well. Good place to get some souvenirs and things, but there are probably cheaper places. Tons of options for things to eat. Our group split up and went to 5 different places, nobody was disappointed. Looks really cool at night.

A great place to sit and people watch. This is the literal and figurative center of Ollantaytambo - plenty of restaurants and hostels just steps away. A very easy place to catch a collectivo back to Cusco - the going rate in Feb. 2018 was 10 sol/person.
Check our the local market just down the street for a fresh lunch or snack!

magical town. magical plaza. There are several restaurants and cofee places. Also local souvenir stores. I had a good time walking around and people watching after a great dinner .

Nice quaint community. Tons of charm and great places to eat, enjoy a beverage or pick up trinkets to bring back home!
