Our family of 5 - 3 kids aged 8, 11, 13 - stayed here for 4 nights over 2 stays. Franz and the team worked really hard to make us feel at home here throughout, with the little extras which made us feel friends more than customers. A beautiful location, fantastic garden, and the 'secret inca staircase' shortcut out the back thrilled the kids! Breakfast was great, location great. We loved Ollantaytambo far more than we expected, a great and atmospheric little town. Thanks! Marcus from Australia.

Hidden gem in Ollantaytambo. We stayed here for three nights as we toured Machu Picchu, the Sacred Valley and many other places. Much less travel time than staying in Cusco. The five stars was for the price, clean rooms, excellent service, fantastic location, beautiful gardens and a great experience. I highly recommend staying here to anyone visiting the area.

Amazing Hotel in Olaytantambo. Beautiful backyard with different varieties of flowers and other plants. Very well maintained. Franz took extra care of us for everything.
Very close to the main square which is walkable from the hotel.

Friendly, quiet location, clean, with comfortable beds. Well located within an easy walk to the train station, the central plaza, the artisan market and the ruins. Lovely breakfast and beautiful gardens. I'd stay here again.

Really helpful hotel and owner. Great food recommendations. Location is perfect for local archeological sites and for train to MP. They looked after our bags and car for us. So helpful. Definitely recommend.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at the Sol Natura Hotel, and I must say, it was an outstanding experience from start to finish. The hotel is located in a beautiful and peaceful area, surrounded by stunning views of the Andes mountains. The staff was incredibly warm and welcoming, always willing to help with any request or question we had.

The rooms at the Sol Natura Hotel were spacious, comfortable, and impeccably clean. We were impressed with the attention to detail and the beautiful decor that really made us feel at home. The beds were cozy and we slept incredibly well, waking up each morning feeling refreshed and ready for the day ahead.

Great feature of the Sol Natura Hotel was the relaxing and inviting communal areas. We enjoyed spending time in the cozy lounge and chatting with owner of hotel.

Overall, our stay at the Sol Natura Hotel was absolutely fantastic, and we would highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a peaceful and comfortable place to stay in Ollantaytambo. Thank you to the wonderful staff for making our stay so memorable!

This hotel was amazing! We decided to stay in Ollantaytambo to avoid a long treck to Machu Picchu. The staff were very nice and helpful. The rooms were ok, although the beds were tough and the tours were dry. The best things about this hotel
1. The gardens. Behind the hotel were these beautiful gardens that overlook the mountains. At night you can see a million stars it was amazing!
2. The location. The hotel was a 5 min walk from the train station which was convenient for getting to Machu Picchu. It was a 10 min walk from the downtown area which had great dinner and dessert!

Beautiful hotel with very kind and friendly owners. They went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable and happy. Gave lots of local recommendations and information. Perfect walking distance between the main square and the train station to Machu Picchu.
Great breakfast to start the day and beautiful gardens on the property.
Highly recommended Sol Natura not only for the comfortable beds and clean rooms but because they make you feel at home.
Thank you again for the perfect stay in Ollantaytambo <3

Franz was an amazing host! Made sure we were taken care of at all times and the place is spectacular. My husband and I spent time out in the garden and it was so peaceful. I highly recommend this place to anyone making a pit stop before Michu Picchu or going to Ollyantaytambo. The bed was also extremely comfortable! Thanks so much Franz for your hospitality.

I have stayed in Sol Natura Hotel for 4 nights recently, and I absolutely enjoyed everything from the clean and comfortable bed, the hearty and healthy breakfast, to the gorgeous garden plantation... And I really appreciated the friendly and supportive staff, who made a morning call to remind me for a breakfast almost missed, offered great tips for my upcoming Inca Trail Hiking, made recommendations for bus tours and even some taxi app download, just name a few. Their services were definitely above and beyond all my expectations for a temporary warm home. Many thanks!

Great location between plaza de armas and train station. I loved the breakfast with local food and with healthy options. I just wished the bread was hot. Views are amazing as well. Staff was helpful and friendly. Room with a good size and with heater.

There aren't enough nice things I can say about this place.
The rooms are nice, the location is perfect (700 meters from the Machu Picchu train station), close to the square but not on the square, so it's quieter, but, none of this was the most important part for us.

While we were staying here, my husband caught a cold and simultaneously struggled with Altitude sickness. Franz, the Owner, helped me call around Ollantaytambo for a clinic that had x ray and EKG machines. He found one ( the only one) for us that was 12 kilometers away.
He called them on our behalf, told them our symptoms, and told the clinic we were on our way ( I had a rental car, so I was able to drive us).

While I was with my husband in the clinic, Franz called the clinic to check on our progress and well-being.
During our clinic visit we decided to get the Yellow Fever vaccine but it is to be sent up from Cusco. We were going to return later that night to have it administered but Franz arranged it so the doctor would come to our hotel room and give it to us that night.

It's hard to describe what it feels like to think you are very sick, in another country, far away from your own doctor. It's even harder to describe what it's like to have someone step into a planning, navigating, orchestrating position for you so you feel that what is happening to you is the best possible thing that could happen.
That is what Franz did for us, and I'll always be grateful and always remember him, his lovely wife and his beautiful daughter who, if only for 3 days, became our family.

P.S. they'll pack you a breakfast to take with you on the train and again on the day you leave... if that's what you want. Franz also changed money for us because we got back from the clinic after the money exchange had closed.

What a beautiful place! Gardening is clearly a passion project for the owners, as the interior atrium and outdoor gardens are filled with beautiful flora. Our room also had beautiful mountain views.

The room was simple and clean, and had everything we needed. They had even set out a pitcher of filtered water.

We booked a mere half hour in advance and arrived quite early in the day but they were happy to show us to our room. The owner was incredibly accommodating and friendly.

The hotel is just up the street from the Ollantaytambo train station, and a few minutes walk from the main square.

The best place we’d stayed throughout our trip in South America. The staff is really helpful and tried their best to help. The room faces a beautiful garden will plenty of flowers and plants for your enjoyment. The mattress is long. The hotel is nicely decorated. The breakfast is ok. The place is kind of midway between the main plaza where the restaurants are and the train station to MP. Highly recommend this place for anyone visiting Ollantaytambo.

We loved it. Location is perfect. You can walk to the railway station unless you have too much luggage. Plaza de Armas is close by with lots of nice restaurants and little shops. We ate at Chunchun. Had the set menu and shared it. Delicious. Sol Natura is evidence of the success if the owner is hands on. Lovely property with nice rooms. We were on the second floor ( easy stairs) and looked out over their gorgeous gardens and mountain as a backdrop. Lots of indoor living space for when it rains. Good breakfast with friendly staff. Can recommend Sol Natura highly.

I liked it, used it for two nights to explore sacred valley and MP. I got a king bed room, large, simple, clean, good shower. Hotel looks maybe couple years old? Garden is cool, location ok 5min walk to train station. Front desk person Luis very helpful, he organized car transfers from airport to hotel then back to Cusco, all worked well and on time, good drivers. It is not tambo del inka mind you, but for the price it delivered perfectly, 5 stars. Pic is from the garden side right after breakfast.

My husband and I stayed here as a base for the journey to Machu Picchu. The hotel has a lovely garden - full of Christmas decorations at this time of year - and is in a great location; 5 minutes to the train station, 5 minutes to the central square. Our room was spacious, and the staff was very helpful and accommodating, which made our stay even nicer. If you decide to start your MP journey in Ollantaytambo, we highly recommend - and the breakfast starts at 6 am, which is very convenient for those with an early start!
