This place is nested just near the markets and right near the entrance to one of the archaeological sites. The rooms varied in size but for what you're paying they were clean and functional. With little shelves and hooks to hang things. The beds were comfortable and it was quiet. We had to catch an early bus and they even made us a breakfast to go, very helpful and accommodating.

An excellent hotel, very comfortable, very clean and homey, feels like you are in a home away from home. Excellent delicious breakfast, wonderful HOT 24-gas showers, speedy wifi, really friendly and helpful desk staff who are able to arrange transportation and activities. I have really enjoyed staying here. Wonderful sitting area off of receptionist to hang out and have a tea too.

Comfortable inn with great prices! The staff here are absolutely amazing! My friend and I ran into some issues with our Machu Picchu tickets, and the man at the front desk (Roger) helped us out a ton - even going so far as to call his friends for advice for us. They also have a great free breakfast (with freshly made eggs!). Highly recommend! Would love to stay here again!

Friendly staff and very accommodating. Easy access to food, transportation, and local site seeing.

Very good amenities for a small town. Hot running water, included heater in the room, wifi, included breakfast, and filtered water.

Friendly and clean, with quite good breakfast. It is associated with the Case del Abuelo (bar add coffee) two doors away, and I think that means that you get a discount, but we only went during happy hour.

I'd like to write this review as an apology to the hotel for the review CT wrote. She is my gf and we stayed at this hotel together. I do not believe her review was a fair assessment considering we arrived at 1130pm slept 8 hours and checked out by 11am (they kindly gave us an hour extension). I came late(845) for breakfast(7-9a service) and she arrived 10m later. We were offered fruits, eggs and bread (there was cheese and ham also). I happily accepted the fruits and bread while she chose to refuse all of it. As for customer service, from the moment we arrived the owner was kind and generous, offered us a choice of rooms. The guest services personnel were warm and caring. We did have issues with the wifi, however for a small town I was simply grateful they offered this amenity. We both have Claro data sim cards, with great reception anyways so spotty WiFi signal could have easily been addressed. They had issues with their payment system due to internet issues (who hasn’t had their own intertnet issues?) which is out of their control and I see it as no fault of theirs. To rectify they offered different options of payment, and we ended up paying by US Cash - in hindsight i should have paid via hotels.com in advance instead of paying at the hotel. The rooms were clean and well maintained. Hopefully others see it for its charm and have an enjoyable stay.

I stayed on the 3rd floor which was a good pre-set up for 1/4th of what you're about to experience when hiking up the ruins of Ollantaytambo/M.P. Truthfully, I couldn't have been any happier w/my accommodations and the customer service. As soon as I walked in I was greeted and offered to have my luggage carried all the way to the 3rd floor. The room was nice and neat, beds were cozy, bathroom was sanitary, showerhead had good water pressure and the space was sufficient enough to properly arrange my belongings. I was appreciative to find water bottles in my room upon arrival. Moreover, the front desk staff were very attentive and ready to help w/everything I asked of them. The plaza is a 5 min. walk from the hostel and the Archeological park is right around the corner, great location for peace and quiet but not too far from the action. Renato who was at the front desk during my stay has great insight to unpopular yet beautiful sights worth seeing in Ollantaytambo. Big thanks to him and Catty for being phenomenal hosts! I would definitely return here again and trust me when I say that you won't regret choosing this place for your stay!

We had a fantastic experience in Ollantaytambo and the Doña Catta Inn only helped enhance that experience. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful with loads of advice and recommendations of local restaurants/attractions to visit or overlook.

The rooms were more than adequate for our stay and the beds were comfortable enough and kept very clean. The breakfasts were fine but with the amazing options so close to you (Visit Sunshine Cafe) you should be taking advantage of the unreal food.

The train station is a short and (depending on your acclimatization) easy walk from the Inn and the town center is a hop skip and a step away as well.

Thank you Cathy for a great stay.

*So we were supposed to do the Machu Picchu hike and I ended up getting food poisoning and we ended up coming back to the Doña Catta Inn with about 10 minutes heads up and we were shuffled around and welcomed back no questions. Fantastic place, if we ever find ourselves in Ollantaytambo again I know where well be staying.

Dona Catta Inn (previously known as Casa del Abuelo, not to be confused with a new "Casa del Abuelo" in a different location in Ollanta) is a charming small hotel (we loved it when visiting April 2018), conveniently located very close to Ollanta's Inka ruins, main plaza, and many good restaurants. Rooms are cosy and comfortable; ask for portable heater (cheerfully provided upon request) during colder weather. The staff are very friendly and helpful, and breakfast is tasty and attentive. "Cafe del Abuelo" (close by) is under same ownership as Dona Catta Inn, and a very nice place to get a drink or bite to eat and relax. We hope you are surviving the covid pandemic! We would love to return.

We could not have a better experience during our trip to Macchu Picchu. Hotel was comfortable and has clean room and bathroom. If you have decided to stay at Olantaytumba for Machu Picchu trip, this is the best place to stay. We are family of five including 2 kids and mother-in-law , and we stayed 2 night at Olantaytumba to acclimitize to altitude and to visit MP before going to Cusco. This is in center of city and 2 minutes away from olantaytumbo ruins, and approx. 10 min walk away from train station. Owner Kati printed our MP tickets. We enjoyed free breakfast. In short thanks to the owner Kati we had the best experience at Dona Catta.
