The hotel have unparalleled panoramic views of the surrounding valley and the ancient ruins of Ollantaytambo.
Our room is spacious, comfortable, and the bathroom is clean and have hot water and great water pressure in the shower.

Alex and his family have created a lovely, peaceful space for guests to enjoy. The rooms are comfortable, breakfast is delicious, and there are places to sit and relax outside. It’s an easy walk into the main part of town or to the train station.
There are views of the top parts of the ruins and of mountains.

I had an amazing experience visiting Ollantaytambo and staying here! Super friendly hosts and really helpful! They will always go the extra mile to help you out with anything you need! On this occasion I went with my wife and it was such a romantic place to stay for the both of us! I can't recommend this place enough.

I had a pretty comfortable sleep located here for 2 nights. Proprietor was friendly and helpful. It's located close to the train station and about 10min from centre of town.

Checked us in right away without warning when we showed up around noon. They went the extra mile to try and serve us breakfast at 5:30am because we had an early train to aguas calientes. Unfortunately I had a stomach ailment so she gave me a tea that helped.
They did some of our laundry and got it back to us on time.
The beds had really comfortable blankets. The shower had hot water.

I would highly recommend Tierra Inka Hotel to anyone travelling to Ollantaytambo! Not only were the grounds beautiful and the rooms clean, but Alex is an incredible host who is always around to answer questions, book tours, and give advice! The hotel is also gated, which made us feel very safe in an already safe town. I wasn’t feeling well during our stay, so Alex made me tea, which helped a lot. Definitely one of the nicest places we stayed at in Peru.

Absolutely amazing place. I was blessed enough to stay here a week. Everything was perfect. The rooms were so comfortable. Breakfast every morning was incredible. I am still thinking about it a month later. Alex was a pleasure to get to know. This place is truly special.

Wonderful hotel! Love supporting family-run businesses. A short walk to the main square and a short ride via mototaxi to the train station (the host can call one for you). The property is clean, quiet, and had everything we needed. We spent the evening outside relaxing in the beautiful weather and enjoyed a yummy breakfast the next morning (included) before heading out to Machu Picchu. Would definitely recommend and stay there again!

Hotel Tierra Inka in Ollantaytambo is the best hotel we have stayed at in Peru. Very beautiful property, super clean and the owner itself is very hospitable and took good care of our group of 4. It has been such a pleasant experience since Day 1, and breakfast was delicious and very well presented. I highly recommend if you need to stay in the Sacred Valley area. It is away from all the noise and a nice 10 min walk from the main plaza.

It seems farther than you think when you get off the train at night. Totally worth it! The staff were all phenomenally helpful and gracious! The grounds are beautiful and the accommodations are great. I highly recommend a stop here on your way back from Machu Picchu!

We came with the family and really enjoyed it. The place is new, locally owned and operated and shows a lot of TLC, from the decorative details to the garden to the excellent service.

The rooms and bathrooms are clean and comfortable, there is hot water, (it does have to run for a bit) and the wifi is functional (better in some places than others, which is pretty normal).

Breakfast is good, and served until 930 am. Don't miss the eggs, coffee or fresh orange juice or bread! The kids got chocolate to melt into their hot milk, yum!

The location is a little off the beaten path, which is great. It's quiet (except for that one damn rooster) and it's only a 5 minute walk to the archeological park/market, 10 minutes to the plaza or 15 to the train station. No hubbub from the plaza here.

There are nice views down the valley from the second floor rooms. The walled garden was great for the kids to run around in, and there are hammocks. Best place we've stayed at this trip.

My husband and I loved our stay here even thought it was one night. Short walk to the city center but the host can also call a Mototaxi yo pick you up. The shower was decent and the room was clean. Breakfast was great too.

The hotel is in a quiet area with stunning views of the surrounding mountains and the Ollantaytambo ruins. Our room was well designed, tidy, cozy, and the bathroom is clean and have hot water. The wi-fi was spotty but we did not mind at all as we are more focused on being in the moment and able to disconnect for a bit. It's walking distance to the ruins, and great restaurants. The rail and the collectivo stations are about 5-10 mins by tuk tuk but also walkable and may take about 20 mins.

Alex Teran was an amazing host. From the start, we were welcomed with genuine hospitality. Alex and his family ensured that our stay was perfect, they're helpful and accommodating with our questions throughout our stay.

Highly highly recommend this hotel! We'll definitely stay here again.

Thank you Alex for an amazing stay! Charlie and I wish you continued success!

Nice quiet environment away from the main street. Resort-like environment. There is no heating though it is not necessary in September. There are regular horns from passing trains in the valley but they stopped before it was bed time.

I am happy that we stayed at Hotel Tierra in Ollantaytambo. The hotel is very nice, clean and next to the Inca site. The plaza is just minutes away. Alex and his family are very helpful and keeps property neat and clean. We were also served with nice breakfast. We were welcomed with smile and answered many questions we had. On the day of checkout, we realized that PeruRail will not allow us to take carry on bags to Machu Picchu, so we ask Alex for advise. He was very very helpful in assisting us and gave us options if we want to send bags direclty to hotel in Cusco or have a taxi waiting for us at the station when we come back from Machu Picchu. We chose to take the taxi which was very very reasonably priced. I am glad I ask Alex for help.

I highly recommend Hotel Tierra for your next stay in Ollantaytambo. Alex can also help you with your Sacred valley tour or anything else you need to arrange for traveling in Peru or Bolivia.

After staying six days in the hotel, Hotel Tierra Inka Sacred Valley, I must say that all of my expectations have been fulfilled. Coming from the United States, I wasn’t sure what to expect as the hotel is found in a country foreign to me. Upon arrival to the hotel after a comfortable and easy transfer from the airport (provided by the hotel), I was unexpectedly awestruck by the beauty of the garden that is found outside. The countless species of beautiful flowers with the pristinely cut grass and the two cute healthy alpacas found outside were a welcoming site for a tourist visiting Peru for the first time after very a long flight. Upon entering the hotel, I was greeted by warm-welcoming staff (actually the hotel is owned by a local family) that – for the number of days I was there – never become tired in their service; they were always there to kindly answer any questions I had about Cusco, to provide for me whatever I needed for my hotel room, and to give me information on places to walk to during the day and throughout the night (for those who are planning on visiting, I have to let you know that it is indeed safe to walk around at night; it’s quiet and the beautiful stars under the sky likewise are a breathtaking sight to see with the backdrop of the mountains). Every morning, the American breakfast is a nice addition, and the hotel room commodities are also very useful. The free WiFi is welcoming for those who need to do business (like me), and it is fast for those who like to unwind. Likewise, the homey hotel rooms are cozy at night and during the day, and the rooms’ vibrant colors show off their modern style that also has a little touch of Andean spirit – a little different than my home country – but, in some ways more beautiful. I would recommend this hotel in a heartbeat for those planning on visiting the Sacred Valley of the Inkas as its welcoming spirit and loving staff are definitely a relief after a long trip and an experience that will never be forgotten; not only is the hotel located right in the heart of the valley, but it likewise also provides access to various breathtaking touristic sites – like Machu Picchu, Maras, Moray, the Salt Mines, the Inka Trail, and the Pyramid of Pakaritampu.
