I have the probably some of the most complicated hair to properly cut. And personally I have a really hard time finding a good hairdresser. I took my chances but am so happy with the results! Ilse is an absolute pro at what shes doing! Will definitely come back!

We are traveling Europe for three months and my boyfriend was in need of a haircut. I blindly picked this place and got lucky. Josè did an amazing job! He clearly is an expert. He also gave us some great restaurant and bar recommendations for the neighborhood.

It was fabulous, I got a great cut and colour, though I might have had a “lost in translation” moment- as I asked for a darker hair colour and my hair came out lighter. But I’m not mad! My hair still looks good and the cut was great! Plus- considering this was a walk-in: zero complaints! My hair was a total mess and it came out beautiful!

They fit me in last minute at the end of the day and did a fantastic blowout that lasted the week. Service was excellent too and stylist was very friendly.

Best haircut I have gotten in the last 5 years, even if I didn't speak dutch, Joan made me feel very comfortable and even accomodated my boyfriend. Definitely recommend!

Jose is absolutely amazing! He totally gets my hair, he sees what I want and at the same time he knows what suits me best, which to me a valuable trait for a stylist. I've been going back for two years now and I always love the result. It's also super fun to chat with him while my hair is being done, I love working with him.

I went for the first time for a haircut. I wanted mostly advice on what hairstyle would fit my face. José was cutting my hair and he was very professional and honest about what would look good and not look good on me which I loved and really appreciate. He served me a nice coffee and overal it was a good experience. I love my haircut, he did an awesome job. Will come back for sure. Thx !

Sascha did an amazing job on my cut and colour. I haven't coloured my hair in years and was after something really new. Being new to Amsterdam I didn't have any recommendations to go on other than google reviews so I was really nervous! I tried to explain what I wanted in a flurry of words and pictures that I didn't think made much sense but Sascha understood right away and the end result was exactly what I had imagined. I’m so glad I went to Jose today after a balayage in another salon left me with poorly blended yellow hair. It was bad enough that I worried about showing up to work on Monday. Jose was super friendly and able to help me out on short notice. The color turned out gorgeous, I couldn’t be happier. Would highly recommend, I’ll definitely be back :)

José at the Jordaan location is a great stylist who always listens carefully to what you want and is also really fun to talk to. Gonna miss him when we move to the UK!

Sophie is the one and only that I'll let touch my hair. She has been for almost 15 years, and counting! When she went away to Aruba for a year, I was 'forced' to go to another.. which was fine, but went straight back to Sophie when she was back. I am officially a fan!!

The barber I always go to is Jose Lopez. A friendly man who, most importantly, knows what he's doing. After having changed many barbers in the past, the good service and fine atmosphere makes me only want to go back to Day and Night Hairdressers by Jose Lopez.

Craig was amazing! I’ve been searching around Amsterdam for ages for this kind of quality and professionalism. He’s super fun and I’ve not been this happy with my hair for a very long time. Highly recommend.

LOVE! Took me a long time to find a good hairdresser in Amsterdam, but with Sophie I was lucky! She understands what you want and is able to give good advice if you don't know what you want.
