One of the best museums of the world. If you love Rembrandt's masterpieces then you can not miss this place. So many interesting things to explore, for kids you also got the digital family interactive device to explore even more special things, so many things they explained during the hunting game. Love it a lot! We enjoyed the 5 hours visiting, even after we were all exhausted.. we still want next time back back...so many other spaces we didn't see yet!

Super recommended!

Gorgeous, an absolute must see experience when visiting Amsterdam!! Big shout out to the security guards who waved to Bastien (the teddy bear in the pics), they were so so helpful! I visited at around 10:30am on Sunday March 3rd, and it was a bit busy, but the security guards stationed throughout the galleries did a wonderful job at keeping the crowd moving!

Amazing museum with lots of beautiful art pieces. It was pure joy delving onto the rich history of Dutch culture and people. It is a huge museum, so it's best to make sure you have plenty of time to see around the beauty of the museum!

Fun sized museum that you can get through in less than four hours.

The special exhibit was educational and they had descriptions on all of the trinkets. The first floor is split in half so you can only access the other half by going up or down a floor. The ship models are very intricate and gave me admiration on the hard work involved. The night watch exhibit was spectacular to see as well, spanning an entire museum wall!

Wow, a large and wonderful collection, 4 hours devoted to seeing everything, only with the option not to stop for long at each work, unless it was interesting. It is recommended to purchase tickets online, but there is a shop in the square in front of the museum where you can buy tickets. There was not a big queue about 10 am on Monday but later there were crowds in the museum.

Really great museum and beautiful architecturally. I enjoyed how spaced out each area was so it didn’t feel crowded despite the amount of people (except ofcourse the most familiar pieces which were to be expected)
Great free locker storage system for storing items and very clean and constantly maintained bathrooms. We liked the cafe inside and how halfway through the museum, theres another cafe to rest and get a quick treat. Gift shop had great service but the items sold are a bit lackluster and expensive.

Beautiful museum. I booked a ticket online from their website for 22.5€. An optional guided tour is also offered which brings the total to 30€. Spent two hours in the museum but I still felt like I needed a bit more. I would suggest freeing your schedule for at least 3 hours to enjoy the museum the most. Guided tour was good but sometimes I couldn’t hear what the guide was saying because of surrounding crowds.

A museum worth the visit!

Please take note that you must pre-purchase your ticket online. It goes by time slot and availability. Please ensure you secure your booking before making your way there.

There are thousands of art pieces including paintings, articles, etc. You can easily spend more than two hours at the museum just browsing through every level.

Visit 17-02-2024.
- highly recommend the family quest for children: best way for children aged 7 or more to explore the museum and not get bored. About 45-75min for exploration. For adults, it’s good as well since it gets you around the most famous paintings and the main points of the museum. I strongly regret to not have reserved one since I bought only for our kids. The plus: if you solve the enigma, kids get a few presents - they were delighted.
- museum is spacious, wardrobe quick, friendly and well organize
- staff: friendly and helpful
- congestion: on a rainy Saturday in February, not too crowded inside
- shop: spacious and full of selection

All in all, we really appreciated the museum.

One of the coolest and most beautiful museums I’ve been seen. The outside is truly majestic and beautiful, but the inside left me speechless. The inside of the museum is breathtaking. I really recommend visiting this museums if you ever go to Amsterdam. It’s completely worth a trip.

We got there early on a Saturday and it felt like great timing. The museum is large and is a long activity if you want to get through everything. The space is absolutely gorgeous and I think they are some of the best at lighting the works. Everywhere felt perfectly lit and the frames and paintings all jumped off the walls at you. Totally clean and stunning. The gift shop was nice as well. I wish the gift shop had more stickers.

This is an amazing museum over 4 floors. We spent 4 hours here but you could spend longer. You need to book tickets in advance , we had booked for 10am and it was quiet , very busy by 1pm.

Wasn’t sure if we would enjoy a museum on our visit to Amsterdam, but decided we should check it out. The art inside is so incredible. Everything is labeled and put in English. The coffee shops inside had amazing brownies and Manuel made us nice cappuccino and tea while it rained outside. We walked the museum for 4 hours and still didn’t see everything. What a beautiful way to spend the day, after all.

Very excited to visit this famous museum with the treasures it holds. Straight to the featured Night Watchmen on the top floor and then travelled down the layers. It was a little confusing as the level below is split into two sections and accessed from the left or right staircase of the top level. Just ask a guard for directions is best. The Van Gogh museum is a short stroll away but on the day I went, it was unexpectedly closed. Check in advance to ensure you can do both of these special places.

This museum is so impressive. It’s very big and it’s easy to get lost in all the beauty. The lightings are perfectly lit on the paintings making it come alive!! The architecture is impressive and carries so much history with it. It’s a place you can’t describe so I really recommend it if you like art and are interested in the Dutch (art) history.

I was initially uncertain about visiting this museum as I'm not particularly an art enthusiast, but I decided to give it a try. With an entrance fee of €22.5, I anticipated a comprehensive and enriching experience, hoping to gain insights into the world of "art."

Surprisingly, I spent around three hours and left with vivid and memorable impressions about art. The sheer volume of collections and the diversity they offered left me in awe. I found myself shocked by the breadth of the exhibits and gained a substantial understanding of art history. The museum's collection is truly magnificent in its variety.

In conclusion, it was a fantastic experience that I would recommend to both art enthusiasts and those who may not consider themselves particularly drawn to art. The museum has something to offer for everyone.

Amazing place and gorgeous building that is really interesting to visit. I've visited twice on separate trips and still feel I've only scratched the surface of the place. There is so much to take in and see that it can feel a bit overwhelming. Would recommend getting a guided tour too. Really adds value to the experience. It's a must visit on a trip to The Dam. Also had one of the nicest (vegan) brownies ever in the café.

Very impressive collection of art. Most people will go just to see the Nightwatch, but there is so much more to see. Nice restaurant and shop also. Please be aware you need to get your tickets from the shop outside and not from the museum. Otherwise I will need walk back to the shop (100m).

Very large museum that would take 4-6 hours to see. You have to scan a QR code to get in and I’d recommend booking in advance. They have a ton of things to look at! Painting, sculptures, cabinets, keys, clothing and model ships. The history of the museum is interesting. It hasn’t always been in this building and I love that this is the collection of all of Amsterdam cool things he they collected.
