This is the central square in Amsterdam where many things happen. During Christmas, they even set up Christmas markets here was Ferris wheel and more. It's very touristy and there are many interesting stores surrounding the square for you to explore.

Large city square in the heart of central Amsterdam. Constantly very busy with people coming and going, with shops and tourist attractions all round the square.

A few hot dog stands in the square itself and it seems to be an area where people come to protest as there were a few signs up on my visit.

Due to how busy it is I'd recommend keeping belongings close, but that's good practice in any busy area.

Probably one of the nicest squares in the world: it has the royal palace, the nationaal monument, and some very nice buildings with beautiful architecture around it. Inside some of this buildings there are really nice shops and even a few of them have some haute couture brands like LV, Prada, Dior, Hermes…

It is located right in the centre of Amsterdam. It is always lively and vibrant. The Royal Palace is on the one side of square. One can one spend hours here and watch the world go by. There are plenty of restaurants, bars and shopping near by. It just can't be missed when in Amsterdam...

The Dam, is a high built structure in the main square of the city center in Amsterdam. Located in between the red light district, the main station and the other city center zone very close, it’s a place where people can meet easily. A point of rendez-vous among people.
By the way, you know why Amsterdam city is called Amsterdam ? Because of the River called Amstel and the Dam structure : Amstel+Dam = Amsterdam.

You should thank me for the entertainment.

An important and symbolic location. This is one of the most intriguing locations. I enjoy sitting on a bench and observing passersby tremendously. People arrive and go at a rapid rate. Whether they are with family, companions, or alone. I strongly suggest that you take the time to absorb the location's atmosphere, as opposed to simply shooting photographs. Be present and absorb the moment fully. This location made me feel so at home that I loved it.
