This place is so amazing and can be easily over looked. Swiss food such great steak and fondue. The staff is very friendly and welling to help with the menu. This is a MUST try. Great vibes from the the bartender to the hostess to the cook and actually kept communication with us. This is a place that I would love to try again!

Really good food and friendly staff. Would recommend making a booking if you want a table as they are very popular. The fondue was so yummy as was the steak which are there 2 most popular dishes…a must try to all visitors to Amsterdam

Cute little café with big crowd so make sure to reserve your seats before coming in. We ordered the fondue and saw many tables also had entrecôte with pesto looking sauce with it and ordered that too.

The entrecôte was so good and tender. We initially ordered 1 portion of fondue and entrecôte thinking it would be too much but we ended up getting another portion of fondue but ended up so full and couldn’t even try the dessert.

Service was friendly and they kindly taught us how to cook the entrecôte with the sauce cos it’s our first time at the restaurant.

Delicious fondue and great beers. Friendly service, traditional cafe that’s been run the same way for years. They don’t have Coke Zero but they have a great vibe. I found cheese fondue tasted strongly of white wine, but the entrecôte was delicious.

A cosy restaurant specialized in fondue. Service was fast and entrecôte was delicious. They can improve their house wine, which tasted somewhere in-between kombucha and wine, still fermenting. Overall, I would definitely visit again.

Good fondu, and meat. Also surprisingly the pasta was very good ! Unlike the past, there is overwhelming smell of cheese when you go in and it’s much more spacious

A very cool place with special menu which includes some fondu dishes, steak, pastas, salads and more.
We ordered a tomatoe soup with yellow cheese which was excellent and the entrecote with pesto sauce. The meat comes raw, and it gets cooked slowely over fire. the food was great and the service was pleasent.
Note that outisde the tables are shared and inside you need to reserve in advance. It was a little bit cold outside during the evening and there are no heaters so take this under consideration.

Really good quality food, good service even when it is busy. Not a large variety of drinks but that is ok. They have traditional Swiss wines so that suits with the wonderful cheese fondue. Atmosphere is basic but it fits the restaurant.

Gorgeous steak and fondue. Very low key and authentic experience. Would definitely recommend.

Was a great dinner. The Fondue was very nice and at the perfect temperature. The Entrecote was a new experience for us. It was full of flavour. All in all, an excellent meal!

Went with a group of friends (7 in total). We made reservations the day before, so I would always recommend reserving. Its so good that its almost always full.

We had the best Fondue and Entrecot in quite a while! Staff was friendly and warned us that we didn't have enough time in our reservation (total 90minutes) for certain dishes, but that most people always ordered Fondue and Entrecot. And thats what we did. It was amazing! I really recommend everyone to go.

The atmosphere is also nice and the restaurant is in a really centric location, so you can actually just walk around the city center and then finish the day with a great meal!

This cozy slice of the Swiss Alps tucked away in the middle of Nieuwmarkt is an absolute gem. Rustic setting and basic menu but massively worth it if you can get in (strongly recommend booking as obviously very popular with the local crowd!). All about the specials - Entrecôte (thin slices of steak) you cook yourself in a garlic sauce over a fuel stove(that sauce🤩) and classic Swiss cheese fondue with dipping bread. Banging.

Been travelling to Amsterdam a bit for work recently and this place was the best food I've eaten so far in Amsterdam. Although it is Swiss and not Dutch, the food was so so delicious and a lot of heart and soul has gone into their family made dishes. We had a delicious fresh tomato and onion salad, and then the entrecote steak (maybe a tiny bit onn he small side) with the cheese fondue. The sauce that the steak comes with cannot be missed, it was all so tasty. Loved the atmosphere and the staff. Can't wait to go back here!!

Allready from the eighty's is this the place to for the best cheesefondue in town. Service is fenominal. Prepare to wait for a seat (-: but it's worth it!!
