Dungeon Amsterdam

This was a fun and scary experience! Well worth it! The cast was great! Be warned, there are stairs for the audience to navigate. Buy your tickets online through their website. You get a discount for the souvenir book and pictures. Don't buy a combo; it's too confusing how to book the second part.

We had the most amazing experience there. The actors are well dressed and know how to act. Its 1hr 15 min long. Interactive experience. Makes you think you are on an adventure. No photos allowed inside so its hard to take any photos. Scary, unexpected, funny, subtle , a must if you are in amsterdam.

I absolutely loved my experience at Dungeon Amsterdam. Not only did it have an amazing fear factor from entrance to exit, the acting and history to go with it was amazing. It’s a great thing to do with a group or solo, you’ll end up in groups of 15-20 and head through about 7 different stops.

It is nice experience but it is more fun if you are with somebody. It is also not bad alone, but when somebody is with you is much better. Story is nice and staff is giving their best to give you "unpleasant day" :-) in a positive way. No photos allowed or videos but if you are interested you can get all digital photos for 20 Euro. Not cheep but what a hell. It is one time not every day. If you buy tickets online and day before it cheaper and also if you want to combine with some other attraction.

So sorry to the owner in my delay for this review. From the moment of entry to exit this experience was fantastic. Can't praise the actors/ actresses enough. They played they parts very well indeed. A scary, fun and educational experience. Definitely recommend!!

Completely blown away by this place. It is simply amazing!! I expected so much less of this place. The place is huge. The actors are magnificent. They're so perfectly in their role, that that alone is scary already! It was one of the absolute highlights during our Amsterdam team event. Without a single doubt, worth the money. I will for sure go again some day, even though I already know now what's coming.

We booked this as a last minute thing, but glad we did. We went straight in, even though we were a bit early for our tike slot. I would advise making use of the toilets before you get your ticket as the experience is about 75 minutes long.
We waited in the cage to be greater by our guide, I won't spoil what happens but it was really good, the rooms were all well done, the effects were really good and the cast really threw them selves into their roles.
Be warned, you probably will be picked on, but that is part of the fun. The cast really look after the children, ours went through a less scary path, but still had great fun along with learning about the gruesome history of the area.
At the end you get a beer or soft drink at the tavern, which was weird, but very welcome.
The ship had lots of great skull and witchy type of things, but some was quite pricy like the rest of the area.
Defo recommend this experience.

Visited on the weekend, it is recommended to buy a ticket in advance but you can also buy one inside. Also a must visit place in Amsterdam so write it on your list.

This place is amazing. It seems small from the outside, but it is huge. I was amazed by how much work was put into decorating the place and the actors played their roles perfectly, without breaking character. It was a great balance between scary and fun.

The only downside is the price of the photos, in my opinion is a bit too expensive

It was very good. I got a cool keyring. I’d rate it 8/10 for scariness.

Really good fun, thought it was a bit pricey but afterwards we all said it was definitely worth it. The actors were of a very professional standard and really sold the whole experience. 10/10 would definitely recommend.

We didn’t know much about this attraction and that was the beauty of it so I’m happy photos are not allowed inside.
I don’t want to ruin the experience but I’ll just say it was a fun experience for 1:30 hours in which you can have a different, scary yet fun interactive experience in Amsterdam with great decoration, theatrical play, effects etc.

Amazing! This was such a fun experience. The actors were all very great and engaging. My mom is a huge baby and was able to get through it without being too scared. I absolutely recommend this place!

You are part of the whole experience. Laughed the whole time, got a good scare a few times too. Had the best time here. Really nice staff who play their roles very well. Because I already know everything that is going to happen, I wouldn’t go again soon, but if they change the whole experience a bit every now and then, I would really go again!!

An unreal and enjoyable experience! The horror aspects were unique, using darkness and clever lighting/FX to give the same illusion of creepiness you'd only see in the movies. The actors were well versed and did their job well. The humour was on point too!

If you've been to the London Dungeons you know what to expect such as audience participation etc but for me I thought this was much better. There was a section where I had to crouch and walk so do consider the health and safety warnings before entering.

Our tour was made even more entertaining by a young Irish couple who appeared to have been in a coffee shop prior to going in. Somehow they ended up leading us round in circles in a mirror maze and the cast did not go easy on them from the start.

I think it maybe a couple of euro cheaper to book online in advance but we wasn't that clever. Still seemed like good value for money though.

Will definitely visit again and highly recommend.

This was one of my favourite experiences in Amsterdam. All of the actors were fabulous and everyone seemed to enjoy themselves. Plus a drink at the end!☺

Would recommend to learn some nice fun facts of Amsterdam's "dark side". The actors were really nice and scary (the premise). Nice activity I would recommend many times more if you have an afternoon. Especially nice for couples or families. Best to book it 2 days before for a discount!

Absolutely fantastic. Best experience. Serious fun, scares and very educational all at once.. all actors were fantastic. However , I paid for digital copies of my pictures and they didn’t work…. But the dungeon itself was fantastic from start to finish

What a fun and scary experience. The Amsterdam dungeon show is about Amsterdam history in the Spanish Inquisition. They recreate how people were tortured, burned and killed. Definitely worth a visit next time you’re in town.
