I got the radicchio salad with pan seared blood sausage as my appetizer and the Dutch game stew with poached pear, mashed potatoes and sauteed vegetables as my main. Everything was around 40 Euros.

Food was delicious and the staff are friendly, attentive, and made the atmosphere very welcoming.

Would love to come back and try the other things on the menu

The staff is incredibly friendly and accommodating- they were able to fit us in on a busy Saturday with NO reservation.
Ribs were fantastic as was the lamb. I cannot recommend this place enough- cannot wait to return in the summer to sit on the back patio.

It's a pretty good place. The steak was excellent 👌👍 and the beer was awesome! Love the atmosphere there, too. We were outside, it was also fine and peaceful.

We came here for dinner on a Friday night, it was really busy but the staff were really lovely and the service was great. The atmosphere was really good as well even though it was busy. I had the steak and my husband had the eggplant for dinner, we both absolutely loved our food and we were really full afterwards. The chips were amazing. We both had the Beertje in-house beer with our food which we both loved as well. Would really recommend.

The best fries we ever taste ! Seriously we tried a lot of fries in our lives but these ones were a-mazing ! Chunky but the crunchiest... I also ate the steak with the mushroom gravy and it was delicious ! Our waiter was so nice and the vibe of the restaurant is very cosy... We recommend 100% 🤤

This is a special place. There is a friendly buzz, and friendly, helpful staff serve excellent food.

My wife had snails as a starter, I enjoyed the herring tartare. Both v. good.

For the main course, my wife had steak, which came medium rare, as requested. I had the beef stew: beef cheek, I think, which was delicately spiced and so tender you could eat it with a fork. I was accompanied by delicious red cabbage and a few other veg.

Chips were historic.

We shared the cheese course for dessert.

Good selection of wines by the glass.

Restaurant Van Beeren is a very special place in Amsterdam. For years this restaurant has been serving dishes from the French kitchen but is now more European oriented. And every day they serve a tasteful dish of the day.
The atmosphere is that of an old Dutch pub where it is very pleasant to stay. Price and quality of the dishes are good!
In addition to food, there is also room at the bar for a beer. And in the summer there is the unique garden with terrace!
I really like to drink a Leffe beer and toast to the very nice and service-oriented staff!

Super good place! I had the beef steak, very well cooked, with yummy gravy, a few vegetables and super good french fries! Service was super friendly, and they have good wines to choose from, even for just one glass. Try to book a table, because it might be full!

Really great little local restaurant bar. I was greeting with a handshake by the manager and sat at a cute little table and ordered the snails (delicious) and duck salad (lettuce was strange and the dish a little weird but traditional so took on face value). I was alone but felt very much part of the vibe and everyone was very friendly. Non touristy and definitely one to visit. I came back the next day with 7 friends.

Great little spot. Food was very good. Friendly, lively atmosphere without being raucous. Very impressed with the service. Young group of 3 guys ran the restaurant with kindness and efficiency. Able to answer questions about allergies with confidence.

Good drinks, good food, good atmosphere and a very friendly staff. Only 2 veggie options but they were both nice so if you don’t mind no choice it’s great! We particularly loved the celeriac satay.

Visited this place on a busy evening, solo, unannounced for a light early dinner. They were really nice and accomodating. Food was good, amazing vegetarian onion soup. They even brought some hor d'oeuvres. Good quality virgin ale. Ambiance is warm, cosy with old wood-panelled walls and all. I’ll definitely be back for more with my SO. Mondays they serve a veg main course fyi.

Excellent local restaurant with great range of beers and wines. Extensive menu of well cooked options. A brilliant experience, buzzing atmosphere with a friendly welcome.

Dishes around 20 euro, friendly staff, good beers and great duck breast. When you are with a bigger group you definitely need a reservation. During weekends and high season too.
Staff doesn't always see you so be patient.
The creme brulee was a bit disappointing, the other desserts are delicious.

What a wonderful place to have my retirement party. There were 21 of us and we loved the food. It came out when expected and all at the same time. Service was excellent.

A little bit off the Nieuwmarkt square, this place turned out to be a hidden gem. Although there was no table available at the lovely inner court outside, the service was impeccable, the food and the wine - outstanding, the music and atmosphere - homey and chill. Recommend with both hands , fork and glass🤘🍷

As long as you're not expecting a subtle fine dining atmosphere (there's a bar here after all) you won't be disappointed. Attentive service, delicious food (spare rib is a spectacular experience) and good drink selection. It was not cheap, but I feel I got what I paid for.

A great restaurant off the main touristy path, well worth the visit.
The food is great, both tasty, neatly presented and fairly priced.
The personnel was nice and helpful.
A plus for the excellent onion cream along with the good bread.
