I stumbled upon this online store (Everyday Fresh) on Lazada by chance and was quite surprised to find out they sell Shepard avocado at this time of the year. After reading through the superb reviews and beautiful product photos by previous buyers, I have decided to give it a try, but little did I know that I have been scammed.

Chronology of my encounter:

2/2/23 - Placed order for 8 Shepard avocados, a premium susu mango and an iberico collar chop on lazada.

3/2/23 - I received an ice box containing 10 avocados instead of 8, an Iberico pork chop, and a Susu mango. I was surprised to find out I was given 2 extra number of avocados. However, upon inspection, the fruit did not belong to the shepherd species. They are all Hass avocados, and all are black in colour and extremely mushy. All the avocados came without stickers on them.

4/2/23 - I Managed to cut the avocados. All over-ripen, mushy with multiple black spots and bruises that were not able to be cut away. These avocados are obviously rotten and already past their prime long time ago.

Therefore, without any delay, I reached out to the seller and demanded a refund or return for the following reasons:

WRONG ITEM — its stated SHEPARD AVOCADO but I have received HASS AVOCADO instead.

RANCID PRODUCT - the fruits are rotten and have already developed rancidity. It's not safe for consumption and can induce food poisoning that can be potentially fatal.

5/2/23 - Reply from the seller, saying that I only managed to show them one photo (I ACTUALLY DID SEND HIM/HER A FEW MORE IN THE CHAT), and without asking for more info, he/she disregarded my issue and rejected my refund request right away. Besides that, they also claimed to have sent only 8 avocados as per order in the parcel instead of 10, so there might be a possibility that the spoiled avocados are not even from them in the first place.

I am shocked to see how arrogant and ignorant a seller can be. Not only did they refuse to admit their wrongdoings, ridiculously, he or she even lodged a complaint against me as if I were such a liar to accuse them of sending me spoiled fruits. At the same time, they also complained that they were being threatened by me.

You have my 1 star today, as I couldn’t go less than that. I have already filed a complaint with the Consumer Tribunal of Malaysia. If you are an avo lover like me looking for fresh avocado everywhere, please avoid this store at all costs. All you get is rotten avocado from this rotten shop.

I ordered 4 avocadoes from EF Store through Shoppe, only to receive rotten avocadoes, and all of the avocadoes were rotten. And rotten Shoppe and the rotten EF store Malaysia didn't want to refund, pls don't sell rotten avocadoes and short-change customers.
