Temple Tree Resort Langkawi

We had an incredible, too-short stay at Temple Tree. Not only is it a tranquil and beautiful place to stay, but the staff are so lovely and helpful (special shout out to Minnie at reception who welcomed us so warmly upon arrival and was always such a pleasure to chat to throughout our stay. She also tried to organise different activities such as a cooking class or morning yoga - while we didn’t end up having time for either we really appreciated her efforts).
We would highly recommend Temple Tree to anyone visiting Langkawi. It may be a little further from the beach and main street but this makes it all the more peaceful and there’s a quiet little track that follows a river filled with old fishing boats.
All the dinners we had at Paloh restaurant were phenomenal, the Laksa in particular was incredible (see pictures). The lap pool was also fantastic and the perfect way to cool off or get some exercise.

Last week we had the pleasure to spend 5 days at the Temple Tree resort.
This place came highly recommended, so the expectations were quite high, but it lived up to each and every one of them!

The beautiful location, big rooms and idyllic pool were just what we needed to make our stay on Langkawi a memorable one.

But the best part was the friendly and helpful staff of the resort. They were truly incredible and we can’t thank them enough for the hospitality during the past week.

Beautiful place to stay. Room basic
Estate 5 but loved the stay, but everything you needed. Toilet was an issue but mentioned at.rwxeptuon and it was sort straight away. Could not ask more.We had a family wedding to come to at the hotel. The staff are amazing nothing was too much trouble. Would certainly recommend it for any wedding venue or just a stay. Irene to the manager was just great, so hard working. Thanks to all the team at Temple tree which totally made our stay.

Actually, we didn’t stay at this hotel; we only had dinner at the restaurant and bar here. However, I can assure you that this place offers delicious dishes and beverages.

We visited many cafés and restaurants but didn’t feel like relaxing much until I found this place. It’s super quiet with nice music playing, good cocktails, and a variety of foods, not just Malaysian cuisine. Behind the restaurant is also part of the airport, and you can see airplanes flying close above you!

The staff are nice; they have a service-oriented mindset. They always smile and greet us whenever we visit. We will definitely come back again.

I loved everything about this place. Strategically located at the side of sea where you yearn for calm and peace.

1. I paid a visit for a quick lunch and they did very well starting from taking the order until serving.

2. The foods taste amazing and the drinks too.

3. Surrounded by trees and traditional house is a plus point. This is truly a hidden gem in Langkawi.

Would be great to pay a visit again in the near future.

We haven’t stayed at Temple Tree Resort but we go often for dinner, service is excellent and the surroundings are perfect. We have had western food as well as Malaysia food, all are cooked and served nicely. This time my husband had Lamb cutlets cooked perfectly and I had spaghetti with shellfish. We would both have this dish again. See you again soon ( Jumpa Lagi )

We didn’t stay in the resort. Only went for the meal. We ordered fish and chips as well as cheese pizza with truffle oil. Both dishes were amazing!

A resort with several lovingly restored heritage houses makes Temple Tree Resort Langkawi a must visit holiday spot. Stories abound of the different buildings, and the fascinating history behind them - a boon for history lovers and those looking for a staycation with a difference.

The rooms come with essential modern conveniences and facilities to ensure a comfortable stay. The swimming pool is a perfectly instagrammable spot as in the main hotel building and grounds.

The food at Paloh restaurant is prepared with care by a team of competent chefs. Overall the service team is friendly, helpful and accommodating.

This place is great for laid back and relaxing breaks. The rooms are all individual, well-maintained but politely showing their decades of history.

The bar and restaurant is welcoming with inside and outside seating.

Possibly a little far from the beach front, but that gives it a secluded feel.

1 of the best hotel in Pulau Langkawi! It’s suitable for family (with young children or babies), couples, solo travellers, even group of friends. They have a variety of rooms to meet every needs. A quite place, lots of greenery, the sound of nature, tranquility and serene. Everyone is friendly there and very helpful. F&B is also very good. In fact, you don’t need to leave the hotel if you want to rest and relax away from town and noisy area! The only downside is, it’s not workable to the beach. But hey, there’s an amazing pool to chill and hangout.

This resort exceeded my expectations with their amazing service and hospitality. They answered every question we had about activities and the area. Their attention to details and the needs of their guests were second to none. On top of that the rooms were perfect and had a lot of character and charm. I highly recommend this place to anyone planning a trip to Langkawi!

Calming vibes, the green scenary, THE POOL, it will always a yes for a short getaway with Temple Tree!

I enjoyed my breakfast with the garden and pool view. The staff was completely amazing and food was super great!

Especially the staff named kak Minie and Azizi! They make our stay feel even more comfortable.

Chonk cats are super friendly with cuteness overload 😂

Last but not least, i am looking foward for my birthday stay in December! Yeayyy. (Tapi tak booking lah lagi) 🥹

Quite surprise with the huge portion at a reasonable price. Spoilt for choices. My favourite is fish n chip. Crispy batter n juicy n succulent fish. Especially it is definitely not Dory...

Came here with my wife for the breakfast before taking flight back to KL.
10min drive from the airport.
Ordered Nasi Lemak and Teochew porridge. The porridge is very nice and come with lots of different sides like 腐乳，豆鼓鲮鱼，all are authentic local.
Ambience are very nice and relaxing.
Staff are very friendly and always put on a big smile to welcome us.

A wonderful 2 night stay at the Plantation House. Aside the beautiful rooms and background, special mention on the tip top service. The staff do their very best to ensure you feel pampered and relaxed. They recommended activities, booked restaurants and facilitated a generous late check-out! Special mention to Minie and team, we will definitely be coming back thanks to your warm hospitality.

A beautiful and unique place to stay. We had an issue with our air conditioning, the staff moved us to an upgraded room and provided us with a bottle of Prosecco as well. Exemplary service from check in to check out.

Impeccable service! Special thanks to Irene and Mas as well as their staffs who went above and beyond with their friendliness and courtesy. Despite the initial maintenance issues with their AC and TV at the 123 year old Plantation 2, they more than made up for it with the 103 year old Colonial 2 upgrade and a bottle of Prosecco. We would also like to send our love to the 17 year old cat, Tofu. She’s a real character! (September 2023)

My partner and I thoroughly enjoyed our week long stay at Temple Tree in February 2023. Temple Tree has a tranquil atmosphere. We loved relaxing by and swimming in the pool. The bar provides a poolside service. The gardens are mature and attractive. Everything is well maintained and managed. The staff are really helpful and friendly. The heritage buildings are great. They have all modern amenities whilst retaining their spacious opulence and character. The furniture and decorations are all in keeping wih the surroundings. Our rooms were very comfortable.
The breakfasts and meals are interesting and enjoyable. We enjoyed the choice of dining locations, as the dining room extends out onto the terrace and into the garden.
We found plenty to do during our stay. I participated in a free yoga session by the pool. I had individual tuition as I was the only attendee! To celebrate Chinese New Year a local group including a number of children came to perform around the big temple tree in colourful costumes. They were great!
Other entertainment was provided one evening when a singer/guitarist came to perform on the dining terrace.
We used the free bicycles to cycle to the shops and the beach. Three basic mountain bikes were always available.
One day we hired motor scooters in the local holiday resort of Pantai Tengah and visited a waterfall and another beach in a different part of the island.
We also walked to explore the local area and some nights we walked out to local restaurants.
We have many happy memories of Temple tree and Langkawi. It's a great place for a break.

We really enjoyed our stay at temple tree. Ideal for family. My toddler was quite happy as there was YouTube in tv. Special thanks to Irene, the resort manager who is very kind and generous.
