The Danna Langkawi

Absolutely amazing stay! Our room had a beautiful view overlooking pool and beach. Ac worked wonderfully. Bed was comfortable, large room, daily water fill ups. Bathroom spacious. We had all meals at the resort-Breakfast is awesome, so much variety as well as the buffet for dinner. There are so many activities you can do regarding water or just relax. Property is well maintained and all of the staff is friendly and helpful. Highly recommend.

Posting here because this resort absolutely deserves every 5 star review it gets.

You get a true 6 star experience as soon as you set foot in the resort, where every detail has their attention. Their staff are absolutely wonderful and treat you like royalty.

Small details like the Aloe Vera left in the room from the spa after a hot day, the lemongrass infused cold towels provided to you at the pool and restaurants, and fruit snacks throughout the day really make a difference. There is even a staff member walking around cleaning guests' sunglasses at the pool throughout the day.

The layout of the resort is also terrific. It was quick and easy to get to everything so that there was very little walking or travel time, and all the time was spent enjoying the facilities.

The value for money here is also extraordinary.

We had direct access to the concierge staff via WhatsApp where they arranged room service, turn down, restaurant bookings and the like.

Sabri was a superstar.

The food and drinks were really reasonably priced and were delicious.

Honestly the only feedback I could give is that there should be gratuity options on the bills so we can reward the terrific staff for such wonderful service.

If you're thinking of coming here, just do it.

The Danna Langkawi is one of the best resort in Langkawi. I had a wonderful time during my stay and I highly recommend this hotel to anyone.

I love the timeless design of the British colonial style architecture, every part of the hotel is beautifully decorated and feels very classy and elegant. The hotel also features a lot of natural element with the garden and pond giving a lot of greenery. The hotel also feels very modern with floor to ceiling glass offering a lot of natural light to the interior.

The amenities are plentiful. I really enjoyed the on site activities including the billiard room, the calming library and the swimming pool. The pool was probably the biggest swimming pool in any hotel I’ve stayed in. The live music at the lounge at night is a wonderful gesture and it made for some excellent evening entertainment.

The food and beverage options on site are fantastic. I love The Terrace Italian restaurant and their food and service was excellent as always. The poolside f&b are fast and service is great.

The room is very spacious with a well organised layout. The natural wood and marble design is simple and elegant.

The staffs on site offers above and beyond service. They were very passionate, professional and welcoming, they truly offers a memorable experience.

This is a beautiful hotel. The rooms were gorgeous and the customer service from staff right across the hotel was excellent. Jelly fish season meant no swimming in the sea but the hotel has a stunning pool. This was a wonderful place to relax at the end of our travels through Malaysia.

What you would expect from a luxury hotel. Clean, large rooms. The view at the pool and at the beach is one of the best in Langkawi. The pool is large and warm. Food is delicious. Location is not a problem if you plan to spend most of the time at the hotel.

The staffs are very friendly and helpful. They even gave a birthday surprise to my wife.
The room is clean and spacious, I accidentally booked the hill view room, should had booked the sea view room for the magnificent sunset view.
The beach is clean, the water is not like crystal clear but you can find a lot of sea creatures, me and my daughter found crabs, shells, clamps, fishes etc.
The only thing that I don't like is not easy to find other restaurants surrounding as the perdana harbour shops are all shut down. Thus you have to eat at the hotel most of the time.
However, I will still like to visit the hotel again. Thanks again for all the hospitality.

The stay was beautiful! The Dana is located (ideally) not too far from the airport and has a private beach. The views at sunset are stunning. Our goal was to relax, rest and spa, it delivered!

The hotel has internal courtyard so all rooms face outwards. The beach was clean and private. The sunset is gorgeous.

The staff including the intern were the sweetest, gracious and friendly. The welcome shoulder massage was a nice touch (however maybe not in the open lounge?).

The food was yummy, both local and international (although i would recommend indulging in the local fare). There are too many dishes we liked. The breakfast options especially locally baked goods, sweet and savoury, were easily a favourite.

The Spa was great, really relaxing and addressed concerns.

The only issue I faced was seasonal, when it rained heavily, it was hard to get from one floor to another without getting wet and walking on slippery tiles (from the Spa to our room :D ).

Pictures don’t do justice to the place. Danna is an exceptionally beautiful property. Located very close to the skycab. Close to the airport, the drive to the hotel is beautiful. Great and courteous staff, very clean rooms and awesome food. They do have paid water activities which my son loved. The princess Villa we stayed in was just perfect with a private pool . Will definitely be back!!!

The most beautiful and amazing place. There are too many things I could say about The Danna, it’s the perfect escape of luxury and relaxation. Highlights include the perfect setting, the beach and mountainous surroundings, the beds and bedding (incredible) but mostly the staff; truly fantastic in every way. I want to stay forever.

Amazing stay at this small luxury hotel. Friendly staff, great food selection with several restaurants. A bar and lounge with live music and a happy hour! Great pool and beach facilities.

Service deserves a solid 5 stars – everyone was incredibly nice and kind. Even during sunbathing, they brought fruits and water, offering to clean glasses. Room service was excellent, making it a perfect spot for a quiet break. The hotel also provides car rental for getting around. However, we didn't have time to mention that our room had a strange noise from the balcony at night, which was quite annoying. We suspected it could come fro the wind hit the hotel door structure as the building was a really old may need a bit of maintenance.

Stayed there for 3nights. The receptionist Hani was superb friendly and welcoming . Daily breakfast was amazing and waiter Fuad was entertaining and attentive.Drinks from pool bar were marvellous and the service given by pool bar team was top notch. From the cool towels to the ice water & the cleaning your sunglasses. Impress and thank you for the service. Strongly recommend to come here holiday and rest.

Went to the Danna for our honeymoon and the experience far exceeded our expectation! From the first minute we stepped in, we were treated extremely well, and our guest relations officer, Hani, was extremely friendly and accommodating to all of our needs!

We genuinely felt very sad to leave and we hope to be there again!

Rooms are tidy, loved the bathroom area, nice and big.

Bed is huge and comfortable with great big pillows, only hope sometime in the future they would upgrade the TV to a more stream friendly one.

Staff honestly, chapeau bas! They were all so friendly and nice, very helpful.
The waiters by the pool and the restaurants did great! Specially breakfast buffet.
Food is decent they have a lot of options, better than any other place we tried outside. My wife loved the signature malaysian milk tea.

The most sensational hotel I’ve ever stayed at!! My husband and I booked for our honeymoon & we wish we could have stayed here forever! From the rooms just being absolutely stunning to the incredible food and the most kind and caring staff! We have been totally spoilt and nothing will ever compare after staying at The Danna! Special mention to Fafa at front desk who was the kindest soul we have ever met! Thank you so much for making our honeymoon beyond special & memories we will cherish forever! We cannot wait to come back and visit again!!

I didn’t stay here just stopped in for lunch pool side! Food was very good and service was cheerful and prompt! Looks like a colonial style hotel which feels very upmarket.

Great stay, service top notch. Smooth flow from check in to check out. Will definitely recommend, and hopefully come back in the future! I would advise booking directly with the hotel rather than using third parties.

I had an unforgettable stay at this incredible hotel! The service was beyond exceptional. They surprised me by celebrating my birthday even though I hadn't mentioned it. They really are unique and stand out from the rest : A la Carte breakfast, stunning facilities and the best hospitality I’ve encountered.
