Sunflower Homemade Cakes

Bought the Buttercake and Layered Cake back home for family gathering. And the taste? One of the best and ever tasted cakes!!! On the butter cake - nice texture with rich "buttery" aroma. Glad its not so sweet.... And the layer cake is simply excellent. Soft and very rich in favor. And again...
Not the extremely sweet. A strong 5 star rating to the taste at a very reasonable price.

Very cosy cafe with many varieties of food and layer cakes. Nice cosy place to hangout for coffee and chitchat. Specialized in their layered cakes, they have so many varieties of them. I like the Original Flavored ones and the Cempedak ones. Good selection of menu for lunch. Very nice decorations and very airy.

The layer cake is delicious. I'm glad I found this specialty bakery on the island. There's a cafe outside the shop as well.

We came here for the first time even though we pass it often. If you're thinking of eating the nostalgic layer cakes, here's a great place to get it! The flavour is so good and spices just nice. We also enjoyed the pineapple tarts! Gonna get more again!

Excellent layer cake! Bought their pineapple tarts during CNY too and it was yummy. Friendly and very helpful cashier too. Hope will have more variety of cakes in the future.

Delicious layer cake I’ve had since I was a child. Their other cakes are also really cheap. Briefly saw a large birthday cake for RM30++. Products are good, however Aunty’s service needs improvement. She’s pretty rude on the phone and in store. Never greeted us or spoke to us. But was friendly toward a foreign lady who entered the shop after I paid for my cake. Biased af but I don’t care aunty, I just want cake.

Best selection of layer cakes in Penang. Love them when we are brought boxes in London...so nice to buy them face to face.

The most famous in this shop is their layer cake.
This shop have been operated at this area for more than 20years.
I had my first visit here on 24/06/2018.
And now I miss their cake so so much.

The layer cakes were really good, can't eat too much though, so don't be over-ambitious and buy a massive piece.

The staff were also nice and polite, overall experience was really nice.

I was walking outside when a strong savory smell drew me to this bakery. It’s tucked away but I thought I’d give it a shot. I tried the marble butter cake and it is by far the best I have ever tried. Love this little shop!

The Layer Cake that is sold by this shop is the best that I ever had in my life. Strongly recommend people to try out their Layer Cake here!

Very good indeed delicious cakes but slightly expensive well you can't expect everything.

The original kek lapis was to die for, liked the cempedak version as well. Will keep well atleast for two weeks if refrigerated

Love their breakfast and coffee... this is the place I will go for my breakfast with kids, not only because of the yummy food... another reason is they open at 8am and easy parking too :)
