Famous restaurant in Bukit Mertajam. It has 2 floors. Downstairs is an open-air area, while upstairs got air conditioner. There is a lift, convenient for those who can't walk up the staircase.

There are plenty of parking lots at the roadside. The restaurant is always crowded. Do reserve your table earlier.

Overall, food is delicious and not salty. The seafood is very fresh. They have 黄梨番薯叶 drink, which is very special. It tastes sweet and sour.

Very simple, look at the crowd. Jam pack with customer, non stop arriving since sunset with an obvious reason, affordable, tasty and suitable for family.

Regular customer and definitely will return.

This restaurant is one of the famous and favourite Chinese style restaurant in Bukit Mertajam.
Parking - there are spaces for parking available at roadside.
Normally during the peak time, the restaurant will packed with customers.
Food - the taste is very nice with various type of dishes

1) Convenient road side parking on a first-come-first-serve basis.
2) Attentive and helpful waitstaff.
3) Clean and well-maintained handwash station and washroom.
4) Ground floor dining area has a seating capacity of approx. 120, with tables well-spaced apart. Good cooling air distribution by using x4 units of ceiling cassette air-conditioner, and adequately ventilated with 10 ceiling fans. We appreciate the comfortable dining environment.
5) As usual, our preferref dishes are:
*Egg-smoothened bitter gourd,
*Calamary with pineapple,
*Laksa Steam Fish,
*Mantis prawn with salted egg,
*Fried porridge,
along with the drink 'Pineapple with Potato Leaves'.
We have been there multiple times, and will surely be back again, once in a while.

Good Taste= Absolutely True. It's not only myself but my whole family including parents who are a little particular with eating outside was impressed. The food was immaculate especially the Prawn Curry+Montou & Tomyam Steam Fish ... added with super friendly owner and staffs. We really felt eating at home. Must Try Folks... you would never regret

Since it’s a long weekend, we’re expecting crowds and tourists in Penang island, so we went the opposite direction to makan in Bukit Mertajam. Aha! The traffic was smooth even during lunch hour ✌🏻

Came to this Good Taste Food Garden which was recommended by a friend, and the food really “good taste” wor haha!

We ordered the curry prawns with mantou, their signature steamed fish (回味蒸鱼）and bitter gourd egg. Everything was good and we enjoyed our meal 👌🏻 I added 2 more mantou too for the curry sauce hoho! But for Penang lang, if wanna compare, I reckon song river’s bitter gourd egg is a tad better la, by just a bit! Hehe!

Tuck away at a corner among a few other good restaurants, this long standing establishment is easy to locate, has ample parking space and crowded at meal times especially weekends.
A must try is their signature bitter gourd eggs that’s whipped to perfection, soft, runny, and lightly seasoned highlighting the bitter sweet gourds within.
Another popular option is the curry prawns that comes with ManTou buns. Overall all the dishes are simply delicious. Moderately priced.

The staff are friendly and efficient. I prefer to come here for early dinner as it will usually be crowded during dinner time. So, better to make reservations if you intend to come at 8pm. Tasty food and clean restaurant. Strongly recommended.

The best in BM presently but the prices are a bit too stiff for me as a retired pernsioner. Seafood very fresh and service is prompt. Just hope the chef go easy a bit with the salt and oil. Recommended for the upper middle class and those wanting a rare self treat. Suggest set lunch or dinner. Place is very congested most of the time.

Food is good and price acceptable.

The claypot fish head with yam dish wins hands down. Sure this restaurant is famous for fresh seafood but there is something about this dish that got us coming back for seconds and thirds. Highly recommended
