YUMMY COTTAGE

This place offers a variety of food where I can find pork dishes (a lot of food courts don't really have pork dishes on their menu). This place is always crowded with people, and finding a place to sit sometimes can be a bit challenging, but I always come back because I tried several dishes and they were all delicious! Their claypot rice, sizzling pork rice, wonton mee, and pork ribs rice were all delicious!

If you love a variety of chap fan or economy rice as it is often called in Penang, head to Yummy Cottage for lunch with its huge variety of almost 40 dishes to choose from.

Yummy Cottage also houses the famous Sri Intan Chicken Rice run by the 2nd generation, with its unique thick dark soya sauce. 👍🏼

Located on McAllister Road opposite the UMNO building, ample car park is available behind the hawker centre for RM2.00 per entry.

Another lovely food court; our favourites were Hokkien Prawn Mee, Pork Clay Pot Rice, Tofu roll and Roast Pork, all of which were excellent

Love the economy rice there.
Apparently, their main branch was in bukit mertajam. They operate lunch and dinner. Usually by 2pm most of the dishes are finished.
There are over 60 dishes to choose from.
Economical and good.
Food is tasty, most of them really suit my taste buds.

That cashier uncle is very friendly.

I usually illegally parked, packed my food and go.

Order these two plates cost RM8.50. At Mix Vegetables Rice.

Great variety, my favourites are the self serve rice and sides in the centre and the pork noodle soup stall in the back left.

Delicious banana pancake!! Really crispy and moderate sweety. I recommend it!

Good variety and excellent local hawker food.

One of the best food courts in George Town. Wide variety of food. Open from morning till dinner time. Recommended: char koay teow, Thai food, Western food and pasta, Chinese rice dishes, Indian food. The Chinese mixed rice stall is pretty good as well. There's a small parking area behind the food court but it's RM3 per entry. Otherwise park along the road. Very packed at lunchtime.

The balachan fried chicken and Rice is great, crispy outside juicy inside, comes with sunny side up and a small bowl of fish asam pedas curry (nyonya style). The nibong tebal chai koey is so so, prob less fragrant and skin is a little too soft.

Chicken rice is my favourite food at here. The worth Food is set rice, disappointed due order n and order but didn't cook for me. The worker there only like talking and not serious in taking order

Recommended to try out their tomyam and also vegetarian kuih

Above average food with reasonable price.
We tried the Thai rice, breakfast sandwich, wantan mee and banana pancakes. The wantan mee is one of the best in Penang per my personal taste. Cheers.

This coffee shop really nice on food especially porridge and roasted duck rice on evening. The important things is ventilation air is very good compare to other coffee shop. It is comfortable to eat food here.

Delicious. Cozy. It's a huge food court. A lot of choices are available. Always crowded. Fast serving. Worth to try.

YES..a big YES to my favourite coffee shop..
The place is spacious and airy with many fans placed high enough overhead..the food stalls are so varied and each one is surprisingly good..you must try it for yourself. With about 20 food stalls for your liking..wahh..just Rambang Mata.. definitely I will be there for my daily meals..but due to the Covid-19 situation, the business is not as it should be.
Business is slow moving but NEVERTHELESS not stagnant. MOU TAK TENG!!!
The reason I m making this review is to make the public aware of this place so that they too will patronise this coffee shop and thus support its business long term..and my aim is that I can keep enjoying my favourite food at my favourite coffee shop..YUM yum yummy 😋.. Cottage.

There are so many foods and drinks available here, chinese food, thai food etc. A very good taste with good price. Feel satisfy
