Why? Enjoying delicious palatable dish and chilling while listening to the folk songs. Nice service too!

I’ve eaten at restaurants all over the world including highly rated & Michelin star restaurants and would say this food is some of the best I’ve ever eaten. Amazing flavours and perfectly cooked seafood. Came three days in a row as the food was so good. Amy and Ben the owners are also lovely and very welcoming - Amy is the chef. It’s a simple little cafe style restaurant but highly recommend. Tried the Laksa, lemon fish, prawn curry, Penang curry, satay, mixed vegetables and green vegetables - all were brilliant!

Very friendly owner Ben. Many customers seems to know him. Other staffs also warm and approachable. I wasn't checking reviews before we dine in. The food are reasonably ok. No complaints to our meal that we ordered. We had mee goreng, satay, mixed vegetable and highly recommended by Amy (lady boss) Thai sauce cod fish. Indeed the fish is really super tasty. Very crispy skin and tender flesh. Value for money meal. Definitely recommend to those around the area. Not expensive. This place is rustic and oldies with old photos, paintings and musical band instruments. Ben told me weekends is for anyone to play.

Good place to dine in. Homemade food with special own flavours. Great atmosphere and service. Nice decoration. Ordered satay, Nonya curry chicken, Thai style grilled fish, Kang kong. Portions are not big but sufficient.

The living room cafe bar is one of the 3 local eateries nearby Parkroyal Hotel. I had lunch here on the last day of our stay.
The food here is certainly home cooked and delicious! We had pineapple fried rice which came with alot of wok hey. The nyonya curry noodle is excellent as well.
Prices are reasonable at about 20-30rm per main. Definitely pricer than hawker food but the environment is better as well.
There seem to be some live performance during dinner as well but I didn't get to experience it.

Great food, wonderful atmosphere, can't wait to go back. Very friendly owners made us feel so welcome. Authentic experience. Laksa and deep fried ice cream was just fantastic.

We stopped in for a quick drink last night and stayed ages listening to the acoustic guitar music. Came in tonight and had a brilliant beef rendang and a great chicken Penang curry. Desert was an astounding deep fried ice cream which is worth coming here on its own. The staff are lovely and friendly and prices are very good too. Love it. Xx

First time trying nyonya laksa and hainanese chicken chop and it was so very good. Can't wait to come back and try it again. Had such a unique taste and twist in its flavour. Hooked! And Loving it!!
Fruit juices were also very well served.

Ben and Amie are lovely hosts. They are both very friendly and helpful. Live music at weekends. Anyone who can play an instrument is invited to join in. Very highly recommended. See you again next year!

love love love this place the atmosphere is relaxed with a live singer which was nice the service is outstanding considering the owner is also the waitress and the chef and she still make time to have a chat with all of her guests we went at the weekend so she did have 1 extra pair of hands in the kitchen she even said to me "if you wonna see a 1 man show come back during the week" everything is all cooked from scratch using fresh ingredients how do i know?? not only you can taste it but you have to walk through the kitchen to the facilities which i though was quite nice it also has that home cooked feel to it aswel, a must must must visit if your ever in Penang!! we shared the a spring roll to start as one portion came with 2, i had the dry chilli beef (hot, if you dont lyk spice or not to much then just let her know and she will be more than happy to accommodate) my partner had an authentic Malaysian curry (cant remember the name) and we shared the house rice portion sizes are lovely and big we also had 3 beers along with the food and it all came to the grand sum of RM122.20....fantastic authentic food!!!

One of our favourite place to dine and drink whenever we come to Batu Ferringi. The owners themselves cook the dishes with passion and serves every single one with an ear to ear smile. If you're the type of person who loves to chill while having your favorite potion or just simply an ice cold draught, this is the best place. Guest are free to share their music talents, I think that's how everyone build the connection and all are friendly. Definitely you'll fall in love with this place too. 💕

Amazing food and super humble staff, food is really good. Try the thai fish it is so good I ordered two portions as it was sooooooo good.
Make sure you leave some space for dessert.

The owner cooks from scratch with fresh ingredients and will accommodate. Stopped here last night, love the food and ambiance they have created, the owner really cares about the food. Decided to make it the restaurant for our stay here - best in Penang!

Sorry no photos cos we were very hungry. The kitchen churns out freshly cooked dishes. Really authentic stuff here. Fresh seafood, good wok hey.. went so well with an ice cold tiger.

Thai fried fish is delicious!! We also tried the pineapple fried rice and chicken kapitan, which is excellent too. Cosy environment with friendly staff! Prices ranged from about 8-30myr a plate.
