It’s a nice place for the breakky or Yum Cha, pretty busy place but you won’t feel rush over here. It’s fast pace and great service, there is always stuff tell you what to do and how.
Also gently and remind you to be careful your belongings, also they recommended some really good stuff to you, such as the fried yum thingy.

Upon reaching, be sure to get a queue number from the staff. I reached at 9 on a weekend and waited around 20 minutes for a table. Your orders for drinks will be taken first and you'll be handed a piece of paper that you'll need to present to staff when ordering food. At the steamed baskets section, there are no labels, so you will have to ask staff or order based on appearances. Generally prices range from 3.80 to 8.80. I got a dumpling with a green exterior and a filling of corn and meat. While I had no idea what it is, it tasted pretty good. The staff at Yong Pin are also attentive. They keep checking the tea pot and make refills when necessary.

I would suggest avoiding the paper wrapped chicken. While the flavour is good, the chicken was very tough.

Mochi is very nice packed with peanut filling. Alot of choices of dim sum, fried, steam to choose some. Easy to get seat although there is 12 of us. Taro dumpling is so so

Yong Pin Restaurant is an absolute gem for dim sum lovers in Georgetown. The dim sum here is simply outstanding – flavorful, fresh, and made with care. I was blown away by the variety of dishes they offered, each one more delicious than the last.

The old school ambiance of the restaurant is lovely and nostalgic creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere. The service was attentive and prompt, adding to the overall enjoyable dining experience.

The dim sum selection caters to every taste, with both traditional favorites and some creative twists.

Excellent place for dim sum. Has a busy old world charm. The picture will show some the dim sum we ate in a group of four. There were other fried items as well which we didn't bother to photograph as we were too busy gorging down all the gorgeous food. All winners - including the prices.

By chance we came to Yong Pin and was not disappointed. We went crazy ordering and chomp the food. Totally forget to take photos.
Nostalgia restuarant with the 70s vibes
Food and service was good. Definitely satisfied our dim sum craving.
And before we leave, saw this (photo). Pick one before we leave.
The staff told us once we eat, we will not forget 忘不了.
Indeed true, wish I would buy a few more. Not too sweet because is made with maltose.

This is the best dim sum in Penang, made in a traditional way. The dim sum here has its own unique character and I have never seen in other places before. They are good.

The shop is newly renovated with a retro feel, it made you feel like you are traveling back in time.

Some of the dim sum like chestnust cake, osmanthus jelly, custard caramel and chicken egg cake are really good. They are so good that I forgot I brought my phone 😝

Had a hearty breakfast at this old school dim sum restaurant. Tea was delicious and help "cut" the dim sum's flavorful profile.

We enjoyed the steamed dishes more than the fried ones.

The line does not lie. Customers are willing to wait in long lines to eat at this place because the dim sum here is really that good. The booths and tables are nostalgically old school, and the overall decoration especially the floor tiles could even be from the time the shophouse was built (don't quote me on that). That being said, the environment is clean, and the staffs welcoming.

Food quality is immaculate with special mention for the muar chee wrapped in pandan leaves and fried yam pastry which is the best compares to other shops. Come early to avoid the long queue.

Nostalgia environment and great place for meal with Cantonese style. We like siew mai; sweet corn dinsum; char siew bun; porridge; seaweed dimsum and fragrant tea. Well known with 40 anniversary in 2023 hence be aware that need to queue on peak season or hours.

Good dim sum shop at the heart of Georgetown. Try to come early at maybe 8am to avoid long queue! There was long queue at 9am+ when I finished eating.

Like the environment and design, you can still find those “Hong Kong Style” traditional design + modern over here. Food quality seems average to me, as they serve and focus more on traditional dim sum. Went there around 715am, but the tables are almost full and some of the dim sum still not available yet 😅 Egg Tart is a MUST TRY!! So take away half dozen for family. Definitely will go again n again if craving for traditional dim sum ✨✨

The place to eat is clean and tidy, the service is also fast and friendly. Come early to avoid queues. After sitting down and ordering a drink, you will be given a paper. You can choose your own food at the available stalls, from steamed to fried, porridge is also available. After choosing, give the paper to the waiter so that she/he will mark what food has been taken.

Love the new look of this dim sum shop and the staff is nice and friendly. The choices are sufficient with all the favorites available.

I went rather early on a weekday at 730am, the restaurant already full, waited for about 5 min for a table.

The tea service is good, although the hot water machine is there, the staff would be happy to check your water and help u fill them up.

Dimsum is fresh and tasty, I enjoy them all. Maybe only comment is I didn't particularly like the chili paste of the Hong Kong chee cheong fun.

Price wise about RM20 for my hargow, siewmai, char siew pau and the Hong Kong chee cheong fun plus tea.
