A hidden nasi kandar gem in Penang. Hard to reach, honestly wont advise driving there unless you are locals. Walking is better.

The food in my brief assessment is uncompromising and with attitude. They are not swayed by out of towners' taste buds and preference. Authentic old school curries , roti & tea.
Very rich and prominent taste of spices. Spicy and uniquely Penang.

The roast chicken was delicious, as was the roti bom - roti covered in condensed milk! Very fast service and nice lemon drink too

The Briyani here was good. We were in a group of 12 people. We ordered side dishes like chicken ros, chicken bawang, mutton kurma and mutton ros. All were good although I prefer the chicken bawang more than chicken ros. Price wise it's way cheaper compared to a typical nasi Kandar. Highly recommended

Still the best briyani after all these years! They have maintained the same taste, texture of rice as well as the curry, dhal and other side dishes. The cleanliness (lack of) could be turn off for some, but still 5 stars for the food.

Whenever I'm in Penang, this place is a must go for me. There are many "nasi kandar" restaurant on the island but this one taste good and different from others in my opinion. "Ayam Rose" and Mutton Kurma are among my favourite.

Their nasi biryani with ayam ros was a perfect combo. That was my first time trying ayam ros so I don't have any place for comparison but I'm pretty sure their ayam ros is one of the best in Penang (or perhaps Malaysia 🤔). Also don't forget to eat alongside with their dalca, sambar, and drink their rassam afterwards. Such an amazing dining experience for me!

P.S. You don't need to stand in queues unless you're going for takeout

Good variety of choices.. the “perut kambing” soft and tender.. no gamey taste.. ayam ros 👍🏻, ayam bawang 👍🏻.. tasty and flavorful.. will come back..

Not very famous so doesn’t appear in most tourist’s radar, but a hidden gem. Their specialty is their curries, excellent flavour especially Ayam Ros. Here, you dine in by going to the table and tell the waiter your order and wait to be served. Very convenient. Food prices are not bad it seems cheaper than more mainstream Nasi Kandar joints. Went here 3 times in 2 days.

The dhal gravy is superbbbbb.. but don't expect to eat beef here because this restaurant is in front of the hindu temple. We need to respect other as well. Other than rice, capati also 'sedap'.

Almost all the time there will be a queue but no worries they have staff that can do super fast job to supply the food. Recommended to make take away as the restaurant is quite small and with social distance it look a bit more compact. The food is marvelous as the gravy is thick and tasty compare to other Nasi kandar restaurant. The briyani is divine as the rice and gravy is moist enough and good. Thwy have variety of dishes like quails, duck, pigeon also. The price is reasonable as it's quite standard and consider for the food quality, its worth it.

Superb place to get nasi tomato and ayam ros fix! They operate on 2 shift every day and closed on Sundays. The place is easily crowded so, if you come in big pax, be prepared for a long wait to secure table. They also have special delicacies on selected days (you can ask the friendly waiters). They have free flow of sambar in a jug, which is good for digestion. The taste is the same and quality is maintained all this while. Coming back after MCO lifted, the taste is worth the wait.

Food was extremely delicious. Their nasi tomato, kambing ros, ayam ros and spicy Indian soup (rasam) is highly recommended.

Please note that they close between 3:30-6:30pm and closed on Sundays as well.

A must try and a must repeat!

Food is really good. Fish curry excellent and the Ayam Ros is a must try. Sotong was very fresh and not rubbery at all. Definitely a must visit for one of the best Nasi Kandar joints in Penang.
