Street Art - Brother & Sister on a Swing

This is an iconic street art that is still in good shape although the boy is slightly defaced. The concrete screed that are peeling off the orange brick walls if the warehouse added plenty of texture and vibrance to the street art.

Some birds seem to have built a nest in one broken part of the walls.

A favourite that evokes much nostalgia and childhood bliss

It feels like you go on a scavenger hunt, since the drawings are all over the town. And I found it a great way to motivate people to explore every street of Penang. Every street has more than just a drawing, so I definitely advice you to go on this ‘Wall Street art’ hunt and also see some very cool hidden markets, amazing cafes, interesting buildings.

We loved walking round Penang searching for these little interactive street art pieces! They’re all spread around, so just keep exploring the streets and you will come across them!

A bit difficult to cross the intersection if you walk from the Fire station, just be careful!
Go early in the morning to avoid queue (9am still OK)

One of my favorite street art pieces in Georgetown. I think it’s so iconic that you can’t go here and not take a shot by it!!

Such a beautiful beach! We camped here with some friends and it was such a great time! There is phytoplankton and so many stars above which makes it so incredible! If you are a nature lover I definitely recommend coming here and staying over night!!

I love this place. You can see alot of things and foods to try.

This painted wall mural was done by a local artist named Louis Gan. This wall mural / Penang Street Art depicts most likely a brother and a sister having fun on the swing. The road sign “Step by Step Lane” is also installed as part of the art work and is not an actual road sign. This art work can be found at Chulia Street Ghaut (at a back alley of a printing warehouse).

We had so much fun as a family wandering around Georgetown looking for the elusive street art of Penang.

Loved this piece of street art! Make sure to come here early to avoid the crowds and make use of the morning sun.

Highly recommend place for tourists... you can find many of those interactive streets arts.. you can take a bicycle ride to see all those arts..

Didn't think would enjoy the street art but they made them quite interactive. Silly tourist as we are even bought the cool bag with the street art on ! Very cheap to and makes it more real.

Not easy to find, especially under that blazing hot sun. But google map was accurate.
