Overall the CKT tastes great, really one of my favourite especially with the strong wokhei, prawns were huge and juicy (4pcs) for the big portion which cost 15RM. Ordered the Fried osyter too which cost the same from the opposite stall and they delivered to the table which is nice, the taste ain't too bad but don't expect anything crispy from the outer layer and oyster is not very big. The only struggle at first was finding table as it was jam packed with many people but of course you can sneak in and share table with anyone. Afterall, this was good pick and thoroughly enjoyed them!

Savoured the delectable Char Kway Teow at this spot, prepared in a charcoal-fired wok, featuring two succulent shrimps, lap cheong (Chinese sausage), and an egg. Visited on a weekday around 4:40 pm, we enjoyed the dish without any wait. The stall closed promptly at 5 pm.

The Ais Kacang was a delightful treat, boasting smooth shaved ice.

This place was recommended by locals. By far, the best Char Koay Teow in Penang by a wide margin. It has a full flavour, right level of spicy kick and a large amount of eggs. This place is definitely underrated.

Whenever I'm in Penang, I always make sure to stop by Lorong Selamat for a plate of delicious char koey teow. The wok hei flavor is just perfect, and the prawns are impressively big and fresh. This place never disappoints! Be prepared for a bit of a wait though, as it's always crowded. While waiting for your char koey teow, consider trying the oyster omelette from the stall opposite to hold you over. Overall, a must-visit spot for an amazing plate of char koey teow in Penang!

Char koey teow + extra egg Rm13
Oyster omelette Rm15/small

Nice char koay tew (fried kwetiau noodle). My friend must visit stall. Its trade mark is red hat auntie fried the noodle. The auntie always go to holiday or going praying far away, so the stall sometimes not open even it write open in maps

Portion average with tourist price ( bit pricy). The shrimp is large compare to other stall.
Beside koay teow, there are fried oyster serve from other stall too.

A CKT restaurant that I frequent whenever I am in Penang. The medium-sized serving is priced at RM 13 and comes with two large prawns, while the large serving costs RM 16 and includes four large prawns. As always, the CKT was delicious.

Note: You have to order at least 1 drink otherwise RM 1 will be charged per head.

Craving for char Kuey teow and This one open at 10am. It’s good with 2 big prawn. That’s why the price slightly expensive compare to others. Need a 15-20 mins of waiting. Not too bad.

Their oyster fried egg is super good! Big oyster as well. Finally got one is good one.

Their opposite road prawn me is so so.
Ice kacang is good too! Self made ice cream!

A lot of reviews feedback on their service and they are not really wrong. That said, we had an ok service but we initiated and asked how we could order and our questions were answered.

The food was delicious, and the prawns were big! Just that the intestine wasn't cleared out. Price is not competitive if you compare with other char kuay teow stalls though. 12 RM Vs 6 RM that we could find outside.

The CKT is very yummy with fresh big prawns. You know it's good when there's an old aunty cooking.

It's RM11 with no eggs, RM12 with eggs, and RM14 is large.

There are 2 more CKT stalls just next door too.

Loved this restaurant!! This char kway teow is well known, with the chef aunty always wearing a red hat. It was so good and quite spicy!! Surrounding this place was other little stalls on the street that come inside to offer their food as well. We tried otak otak for the first time and wow it was so so good. A must try if you love tomyum flavour and fish!

The char koay teow is one of the best I've eaten in Penang. The ice kacang IMHO is a waste of money
