Good tasty food but price is quite high. Took 1 telur dadar and 1 ikan bawal with rice cost us RM16.

My bf brought me here to eat ikan bawal. Saw a lot of people but luckily they provide plenty of seat. The main highlight here is promfret, but they do serve other dishes as well. The lunch cost both of us RM36. Given the generous portion, I would say it is worth the price. The fish is fresh and crisp. Other dishes are average.

A variety of Malay cuisine is available for lunch. The special dish here is bawal goreng, a must-try that promises to be one of the best culinary experiences in Penang.

I love to visit this restaurant because of their fresh fried fish bawal.
However, less parking space.

recent visit at 2/12/2023, the taste and how they serve the fish not same as usual, not crunchy, the sambal kicap also taste not same as usual, the level of tastiness drops like at lowest level, hard to repeat again

Always my fav lunch spot everytime I came around this area for business trip. This time I brought my family and the taste is the same! Only the price gone up I think. Inflation everywhere, so still acceptable as long as u maintain the taste. No complaint.

Hunger for Malay style kind of fried fish? I would recommend here!
Especially when you pick the ikan bawal that you would probably have to wait for a very long queue.
And it is only RM 11.00 for the entire set that i have chosen. Salted egg, Fried fish, fried cabbage, curry squid and curry are my all time choices.

Actually this was the 3rd time I’m here craving for this delicious ikan bawal goteng (garing) means crispy fried pomfret fish. You really need to come here early to grab a good spot for your lunch. Quite a queue to get this fish alone at the counter!! The other side dish were kinda nice with the savoury gravy especially the cooked brinjal and pineapple!!

The fried bawal was freshly cooked with an affordable price. You can eat together with fish head curry and pineapple. Recommended!

If you're looking steaming hot fried black pomfret, here is the place to go. Its by the roadside and near palm oil estate. Fish is fried there and then. You have some dishes to compliment. Basically you just put some gravy on your rice, some veges maybe cabbage and eat it with fish dipped in soy sauce.
