This place came recommend by locals. We ordered the special black pepper lamb roti and the classic egg and cheese. The chef was a roti master, he must have made so many of them in his day.

For me, I preferred the regular egg and cheese roti which was really good. Probably wouldn’t order the pepper one again but it’s pretty unique so it might be worth trying just for something different.

Serving really good roti here, the roti sarang burung crispy n roti black pepper flavourful. Roti black pepper got meat and cabbage inside, soft tender beef filling. A bit far from Pantai cenang if walk here , better come here if u r taking bike.

Delicious Roti Canai. Had Roti Canai Bawang + Telur along with dhal & sambal. Yummy! Yummy! Yummy! The Nasi Lemak Bungkus was also sedap! Days after tried the Nasi Lemak with Ayam Sambal along with Ikan Bilis Sambal, peanuts and cucumber. Oh my! So delicious! Not forgetting the Roti Milo+Telur served with little amount of condensed milk! You can either pour it all over the Roti or juz dip into it. Oh! Heaven! 😍👍

Roti very delicious! Especially Roti Sarang Burung. Egg circle by roti.
Roti black paper biasa is roti with cabbage and serve with black paper source. For who not really like black paper not recommended because the source is too much and over. Maybe can add more mayonnaise to balance the taste.
Kuah for roti, just normal only compare with others.

Crispy, fluffy and delicious roti. My son loved his plain roti canai and wants to have it again, soon (!!) Generous portion of thick, dhall curry with plentiful cubes of potato, lentil, chickpea and carrot (most places only serve the curry with no veg in it).
Roti with (choice of) meat in black pepper sauce; their pièce de résistance, was expectedly full of heat but if you don’t want the dish to be too spicy you can ask for the sauces to come in a separate bowl rather than poured/drizzled over. Then you can add the sauce according to your palette.
Didn’t have the nasi lemak but bought the sambal bilis and beef rendang to go. These were really nice too.

We went on a Friday (weekend in the Kedah state) just before peak time which seemed to be around 9 to 10 am. It wasn’t such a long wait for the food though as they had 2 cooks either side of the fryer working on the basic roti canai and another tending to the fillings like eggs, minced meat, cabbage etc so it was a pretty slick operation. The nasi lemak counter is self serve so if one doesn’t want to wait, there’s the choice to have nasi lemak instead with a variety of tasty side dishes.

The place was packed full of locals and tourists; domestic and foreign alike. The waiting staff could’ve been more attentive but as at any busy restaurant, customers will need to be a bit proactive. Prices are fair for the offering and dare I say still on the economical end despite the popular demand. Parking can be problematic as the restaurant is located right by the side of the road and yards away from a T-junction.
All in all, this place comes highly recommended! 👍🏽👍🏽

I like this place a lot. I like to have breakfast here during any of my holidays in Langkawi. The foods is tasty. I like their roti canai the most. This place is famous for the main dish, Roti Canai Blackpaper and it is a must try food here. Other than roti canai, nasi lemak also served here. For anybody who wishes to have breakfast in kampung environment, this place is recomended. It situated in Temonyong area and easy to find because it is near the main road. The place is clean. The staff are nice too.

Delicious! We had a great experience at Roti Canai Black Pepper. The black pepper roti canai is very unique. If you've had Mexican/Tex Mex cuisine, this is almost like an enchilada covered in black pepper sauce, with a sweeter flavor tone. The roti canai is folded and filled with meat of your choice, and shredded cabbage and carrots, then topped with an egg omelette, and cheese (if you desire). Finally, their signature black pepper sauce is drizzled all over the roti. We also tried the Roti Sardin (roti with tuna). The roti texture at this restaurant is soft and fluffy. We also had teh halia for our drinks - tea brewed with ginger and mixed with sweetened condensed milk. The drinks weren't too sweet and they were refreshing. Service is friendly and everyone speaks English, most of the menu had English translations too. Locals love this place and our Grab drivers complimented our choice to dine here :) Highly recommend!

Good place for breakfast. The Roti Canai Black Paper have egg at it roti canai, combine with chicken/beef patty togather with salad. The roti is so soft, till they have to stick egg on it. The taste is similar to kebab. A little bit spicy but can tolarate to it. Better come early, unless you want to ‘fight’ for seat.

Had breakfast here. Ate roti canai sarang burung. It was soft and crispy. Nice. Did not try the roti canai black pepper as previous review said it is nothing special. Teh tarik buih looks and taste nice. After I was seated, droves of people came in to eat breakfast as well. Recommended.

The black pepper roti are like huge stuffed pancakes and are delicious. I think you get more of the delicacy of the roti itself with the more simple things, like the roti with milk. So you just have to have both!!

Clean and the roti canai is tasty. Reasonable price and the roti was not oily. It was also clean too.

The black pepper roti canai I had was RM4. It is a thin Roti canai filled with shredded carrots, shredded cabbage and eggs, I believe. Hot pepper sauce poured over the roti canai and they made it look nice by adding ketchup and mayo. It was just like having those black pepper steak sauce.

There were other items you can add to the roti canai. You can have chicken, cheese, beef any many other options as well, which cost more of course.

The MUST TRY roti canai breakfast joint in Langkawi! Massive variety of roti canai fusion served here. Ranging from the normal roti canai, and those with chicken, beef or lamb fillings topped with savory blackpepper sauce on top of it! If that was not enough, you can ask for the CHEESE version to add to the mix and make a bomb breakfast out of it! Has been my favorite breakfast joint when I was living here and still continue to come everytime I am back. Pricewise is on the higher end of moderate pricing but still fits the bill for its deliciousness! For example my favorite roti canai lamb cheese blackpepper is about rm7. Very close to the price of a regular burger. So I think it's fair.
