It is a good place to visit. Free of charge & very informative place. We were greeted nicely by the place keeper & showed us the way to the museum gallery. We had a chance to get a close walk through the paddy field. Also I can see the management is trying to make over the place. Good job & keep it up!

No entrance fee needs! It's FOC. Spacious place. Lots of Instagramable #ootd spots found here. Besides the paddy field, they also hv a Paddy museum here. Suitable for kids. Their staff very helpful and friendly.

Really nice, free place to spend an hour. The Galeri to the left has clear information and exhibits explaining the rice cultivation process (and very effective air conditioning🙏) and the grounds to the right show the rice at various stages of development and has a restaurant. Don't be put off by the lack of visitors the staff have done a great job with this place and it is good to honour the rice growing communities of Malaysia.

Had a great experience here. We were looking at the museum, when a little guided group came along. The guide (I believe his name was Rusty) saw us and asked, if we wanted to join. We learned a lot about the topic of rice cultivation and it's history. We even had the opportunity to plant rice ourselves. He also showed us many different plants and animals around the museum grounds and gave us insights for what the plants are used for. From coconut to citronella and many plants in between. He was such a nice guy and even served us cold drinks (it was really hot out) and fresh mango straight from a mango tree. The tour was completely free of charge (you can and in my opinion should donate some money), the whole area was well maintained and a nice change of pace since it is very calm and relaxing.

Admission is free. The environment is beautiful and very suitable for taking pictures. There are many places to check in and take pictures. You can walk down the rice fields in person to get closer to the rice and learn about rice cultivation. There is a museum that would be better if there were docents in it.

I have just visited this amazing place, Roshdy (someone works there) was so nice and he showed us a lot of plants and flowers explaining what each of them is used for. He also explained how rice cultivation is done. I learnt a lot and had a very nice time.

Laman Padi Langkawi is free! It showcases the history, development and production of rice in Malaysia. There's both an outdoor and indoor components. Outside there are very small rice paddies and varius gardens. The "gallery/museum" is very interesting if you enjoy agricultural and local rice history. It's a very low tech, small museum but with great air conditioning, thankfully. Nextdoor there's also restaurant.

It is a very nice place to learn about paddy fields, the place showed several stages in paddy plantations that you could bring your child to learn about firsthand.

There was no one there to direct us or give us any info so we just walked around the rice paddies and admired the view. The heritage gallery museum however was amazing. Excellent exhibits with lots of details about rice production. Recommended just for the museum. Weirdly, we thought we were alone in the museum, but as soon as we exited at 4:30pm, someone locked the door behind us. Something to bear in mind as their opening hours say different.

Excellent place to learn a thing or two on the process of rice harvesting. Thank you to the guide (I never got his name) for showing us each step, he even took time to explain and show us different kinds of herbs and their usage. Highly recommend to stop by as it is truly a hidden gem of langkawi. I hope the musuem should charge a small fee to tourist as well to upkeep and maintain the place. If only there was a way or place to tip the guide….

Despite its small size, the museum cleverly showcased a diverse collection of art and artifacts that were thoughtfully arranged and beautifully lit. What truly impressed me was that admission was completely free, making it an accessible and enjoyable experience for all. Whether you're an art enthusiast or simply looking for a picturesque backdrop, this mini museum is definitely worth a visit.

Definitely worth a visit whilst in Langkawi! A really great experience if you are wanting to learn about how rice fields are used. We were shown the traditional practises and could try them for ourselves. We were also shown many other trees/plants/herbs. Our tour guide was very knowledgeable and friendly.

Beautiful spot in Cenang just out of the hustle and bustle sits this sweet spot for a relaxing lunch over the working rice fields or opt for an under cover area out of the sun.
We had a share platter for 100RM for 4 pax!
Smoked beef, chicken, tofu, omelette, boiled eggs, salads and rice + Iced Lemon Tea.
Was such a great meal and price!
Highly recommend for a unique South East Asian meal and experience.
Once finished take a walk through the rice fields for some pics.

Lovely, lovely place!! Honestly it should be advertised more for tourists coming to Langkawi, it's a great way of exploring something different than the seaside. Initially I explored the place on my own, then a guide came and thoughtfully explained the whole process of growing rice, literally going into the paddies and showing us the different stages of rice growth and how they are harvested, how is the rice extracted, processed etc. He even made us try do it ourselves and it was so fun! We also saw the water buffalos and some cute bunnies :) all in all a five star experience thanks to the knowledge and dedication of the guide. Also, the place is very well kept and nice to wander through
