The Els Club Desaru Coast - Ocean Course

Visited for Christmas breakfast and dinner. Excellent service and of course the food. I particularly like the lamb chop. Nicely done and the sauce has a tint of mint. Thanks to everyone here that made our Christmas memorable.

Weekend of golf at the Els Club (first visit) 🤩. A hidden treasure! Great weather and golf course in very good condition for FEB, good greens. Very playable & enjoyable and it’s only 2 hours by car from Singapore. Ocean course made up of 3x9 holes - Ridge, Lakes, Coast. Lots of Tee Box options. Practice facilities very good. Thoroughly enjoyed our visit and will return. Food very good too. Staff were all wonderful and so helpful. Highly recommended.

There are 3 9-hole courses, it’s a very beautiful course to play in, especially after playing in the Valley course, this one is flatter although still challenging. I had a birdie in hole 6 of the coast course even though I didn’t drive it onto the green so that made my day. Staff are friendly. The clubhouse is much newer than the Valley course and restaurant seems very popular on the Monday public holiday we were there. Food was very very good. I’d love to go back again! Highly recommended.

I do not play golfs..however the restaurant at the ocean course is a hidden gem..been here twice and even for the 2nd time, the foods were absolutely delicious. People should visit this restaurant. I think this is one of the best restaurant in Desaru. We've tried the Striploin steak, asam laksa, bratwurst sausage, nasi goreng istimewa, aglio olio, fritters all we're incredibly delicious..best restaurant ever. And dont forget the beautiful view of the golf course. Sorry i forgot to snap the pics of the foods. Too excited to eat back then😅🙏❤💐

Great value golf club with a well maintained course and some beautiful views especially on the Coast leg. Come on the weekday for a low-pressure environment.

Golf club with a restaurant and three 9-holes and a driving range + short range game for putting and chipping.

They provide free equipment rental if you just want to use the driving range that is located on the grass.

It can be very hot so dress appropriately and bring sunscreen.

Free parking and WiFi available.

I will come back to try a 9 hole next time.

This place have been really transform into a 5 star recreation venue. Golfing at Ocean location provide great challenge and test of skill. The 3 nines at Ocean location are very well maintained. Full of character. The club house restaurant food is really good and reasonably priced. The package to play on weekdays is fantastic and very very reasonably.

Wonderful golf club in Desaru. Beautiful scenery, quality maintenance, kind staff, clean and luxurious clubhouse.. it equipped with everything. Even the green fee very reasonable. Definitely I will visit again.

This restaurant is truly a gem. The foods are superbly cooked. Generous portion with reasonably price unlike the other nearby hotel restaurants. Do try out their lamb shank which is one of their signature dishes. Staff are friendly and accommodating too. This restaurant will be my top of the list for the year 2019. Highly recommended.

Fantastic golfing experience. Played 2 days. First day Ocean and Second day Valley. Every golfer has to try this course. Very challenging.

One of best golf course in JB. Fairway is wide and long and very well maintained bunker. Club house and restaurant is very kind and great quality. Practise range is free. Wind from beach makes fresh feeling.

Such a beautiful course. So chill. Everyone was so nice and helpful.

Beautiful location, great course and an amazing clubhouse. Played 36 holes, thoroughly enjoyed my round, plenty of variation. Oh, and nice food too! I will definite revisit.

Having a relaxing lunch at the Els Club, Desaru....enjoy the greenery while having the delicious food. Bring your family on Sat and your kids can eat for free with every main course that u ordered 😊👏

First time golfers get a metal bag tag with your name etched on it.

Online booking was done without much fanfare, our flight had personalised locker. Locker room was well designed, albeit a little dated with the dark wood panels. Perhaps they were trying to recreate a nostalgic feel for the older golfers.

At an all inclusive price of less than SGD100 per person, it makes a good break for golf in Malaysia. Well thought out club layout and decently well groomed golf course with wide fairways and a couple of scenic spots and a few challenging holes. Green speed wasn't really consistent. Free ice buckets to keep your drinks chilled.

Enjoyed my games on 27 & 28 Jun 2023 at Ocean course. The course condition is pretty good with exciting layouts from 3 different 9-holes. Best of all, met Mr Vijay who provided excellent customer services! Will definitely come back again!

3 fantastic 9 hole courses, with an abundance of water hazards and risks. I would really recommend paying the extra RM125 to add on the extra 9 hole course, so you can try all. Just need to hope for no rain!

Greens were fast and true. Fairways were well kept. Bunkers very damp, but not much can be done about that in this humidity and daily rainfall.

Club rental was OK, but quite old and worn. The stiff flex shaft was more like a regular now and the putter was a spaceship Scotty Cameron putter.

Club house was really impressive with a great restaurant and club shop, with a huge selection and great views of the course. Shame there was no draught beer, and cans only.

Nice touch is the free engraved bag tag! Make sure you ask for this? Because they didn’t offer it out.

Worth the travel and would play again here and skip the Valley Course.

Taxis difficult to try and arrange something so you aren’t waiting forever.
