Muzium Nelayan Tanjung Balau (Fishermen Museum)

Recommended. Informative and well maintained. Very friendly and helpful staff. We arrived at 1530 which is an hour before the closing time. As an avid museum fan I was worried if I cannot finish my visit on time but the staff reassured me that we can take our time and not to worry about the closing time. Very impressed with his passion.

Admission ticket is RM 5 per person. Parking available outside museum.

Really nice museum, you guys should have a visit atleast once in your lifetime here! I really love the geology section and the desaru ship sinking section, you gonna learn lot of things there. Fyi, they got 4 section and other incoming section plan to be opened. Ticket only cost RM5 and realllyy worth it! Please have a visit! Support our local attractions!

I came during public holiday on 2pm. Not crowded at all.

A lot if information here. The places were clean and smells nice. A lot of information can be learn. Have 4 section there.

Great place to explore fisherman's life n history. Good for kids to learn more about fishery. The man whose manning this museum is friendly with great customer ssrvice. Highly recommended to go.

Great museum, provide good information about the history of nelayan Tanjung Balau. Here also can visit geological museum too. Must go visit if you go Johor.

A very good place for introducing the Nelayan and fishing cultures.
You may enjoy aircond on the hot day.
Reasonable ticket charges and 4 themes in the museum for you to explore.

surprisingly cheap for the entrance tickets. 4 adults and 2 kids just RM 9. Nice and cozy museum. unfortunately, some lighting and air cond were in trouble when we were visiting. Overall, worth to visit!

very nice interior exhibition. separated to few section. shows the history of fisherman technology, shipwreck, geology and others..

A real gem, this museum has hand built wooden boats, replica houses of by gone times in Desaru when life was hard but simple. 10 ringgits entry, don't go between 12 noon and 2(lunch hour). We had the privilege of having our taxi driver guide us through who actually lived in the houses/ environment shown. Good geology exhibits as well. Don't miss this one.

Best places to see boat...

4 different educational themes in one spot (2 rooms and 2 big exhibits). For the price paid, quite worth it if you are around the area. If anyone reading this is from KL, it's better than pusat sains negara and has a beach beside it. Public parking (free)

A very informative museum about history of fisherman in Tanah Melayu. There are many sections to see. In the geology section, you can bring your child to take a look a 'living' t-rex. Quite scary and trilling. I spent an hour here. A worthwhile experience. My baby love this place too.
