Sun Yat-Sen Memorial Centre

Visited the Sun Yat-Sen Memorial Centre in Penang and was pleasantly surprised by the lack of crowds, making it easy to explore at my own pace. The exhibition detailing the history of China's first revolution was incredibly informative and provided valuable insights into this pivotal moment in history. The ticket price of RM 10 for adults was quite affordable.

One highlight of the visit was the opportunity to capture photos with numerous historical figures. However, it was disappointing to find that many of these figures were displayed behind glass that was not always clean, which affected the quality of the photos. Overall, it was a worthwhile experience, and I would recommend it to anyone interested in learning more about this significant period in Chinese history.

From his birth until his demise. There are also two added bonus as you can learn how Japanese invaded and ravaged Malaysia and Singaporean Peninsula by World War 2, and also a small transportation museum

To make it a complete SYS experience in Penang, you need to also visit the Sun Yat Sen Penang Base.

Historical place I have wanted to visit for 6 years and was not disappointed. A very fitting tribute to Dr Sun. And I was very well treated by the lady at the counter who went out of her special ay to be hospitable... Very important building. The WW2 rooms there were important.. what happened to the children and teachers at the local school was very moving...

Lots of precious old photos, a good place to learn Chinese history & the Japanese cruelty

Amazing place. Entrance fee is RM10 for adults, local and tourists alike. The exhibits are simple and straight to the point, nothing gimmicky or interactive. They are all facts and most are pictures rather than physical models. Very informative on history behind Dr Sun Yat Sen and the revolution. Though I have to say, there are more information to glean from the Chinese texts compared to English. You'll still get a lot on English alone.

Made up of 4 rooms and a centre corridor this museum is excellent. Well laid out and very informative. I particularly like the models depicting scenes from history. The museum tells the story of the Japanese invasion and the work that Sun Yet Sen under took.

Nice museum which details the life and work of Dr Sun. Also includes history of resistance during WW2.

The centre is like a small museum, it describes history of Sun Yat Sen in such a brief and clear way. Entrance fee is Rm10 for adult. And RM5 for students.

Great museum providing information about the connection between Penang and China establishment. How the overseas Chinese contribute towards the revolution in China. And some information about the WWII

Excellent exhibition. Must see. Why the revolution so difficult to succeed and why he came to Penang. Japanese invasion, building and driving the Nujiang Burma highway. Penang contributed.
