Kota Penang Hill

This place is a hidden gem! Food are delicious and atmosphere is so cosy and relax! My favourite is the Prawn noodles. It’s a fusion between western spaghetti and Chinese prawn noodles. The prawn broth is so flavourful that I finished the whole bowl of it. Our 2nd favourite is the nasi lemak. The fried chicken is crispy outside and tender inside. The portion is just nice for one pax for all of our order. The curry chicken is a bit diluted though, the least flavour of our orders. We added on a chicken wings, it’s very flavourful too but a bit too spicy for some.
The staffs are very friendly and professional too! I only feedback that one of the prawn is mushy, didn’t ask for any replacement but they took the initiative to waive off our add on chicken wings.

Came to Penang Hill not expecting breakfast but the restaurant was open even before 8 am so off we ordered! Price-wise is not so kayangan, it has the same price range as other cafes; RM20-ish for a meal. The presentation is beautiful and the taste of the food is wonderful. That burnt thing in the photo is fried potato but it only burnt outside and made it crispy and good on the inside. The sate tasted a bit weird (need to work on the spice) but still edible. There's dalca too on the same plate. You would think that the individual items in the breakfast nasi goreng I got does not work together but suprisingly they all harmonize very well.

I ordered the Kota BIG breakfast....it was not the normal American breakfast but local style breakfast with 2 otak otak cake, one big chicken satay, one crispy hash brown, crunchy tasty acah, fried egg and rice....I give it a 5 star breaky food for me.
The restaurant is very clean, nicely run by two young gentlemen.

If you are in Penang Hill, don't miss to satisfy your appetite with local Malaysian food here at KOTA! I tried their "Mix & Match" for only 28 Ringgit and I had a tasty satay and a cup of iced lattee! Such a treat!!!

And I was given a complimentary birthday cake too!!! Sooo good! A memorable day to remember! Top-notch customer service! A staff named NUR is a such a smiling gem! Very thoughtful! Thank you Kota!

I was blown away with the quality of foods and service here. They really elevate the classic dishes and present it like in a five-star place. The price is surprisingly affordable for a touristy area. Recommended!!!

We ordered the curry chicken and fruit juice only because earlier we had breakfast, followed by avocado drinks in the food court . The curry is flavourful & delicious.The chicken was tender & cooked to perfection. Drinks were also not too sweet & service was good . Just wish the pricing is slightly lower to cater to more customers. My two cents

Food is great. Modern take on Malaysian classics plus some other innovative dishes. My favorite was the chili crab mantou sandwiches made with soft shell crab.

I came from Dubai to penang hill and I was worried how the food how weird it will be tasted… but after the food we took with my syblings it was Amazing and delicious,and the prices are raisinable hmd the success was in the plate, they have international food although they say malay food , tres bon il faut pas rater 🥰🥰🥰(I ordered fried chicken with baryani sauce little bit spicy but tolerant with white rice)my sister ordered prawns with spaghetti and sauce (just like tasty fish 🐟 sauce) hmd nice staff too and clean place -tres propre 🥰🥰🥰

I have to say that our family of 31 paxs had a marvellous time at Kota penang hill. My cousin visited them earlier to check out the place and Kenneth (I hope I got your name right) agree to open the cafe eventhough it was their day off and he blocked the whole cafe for us.
The service was excellent ,food was delicious and we had our meals pre ordered 2 days before ,so when we arrived at the cafe we didn't have to wait too long.. and lastly the view was spectacular.

Surprisingly great food on top of penang hill, had the ayam bakar and otak otak. Great kick of spice and flavour, chicken was cooked very well, crispy and tender.

It was a pleasant surprise when had our breakfast here at KOTA. Was in love with its caption "once upon a time FRANCIS meet rempah at KOTA".

We were attended by its staff (female malay girl) who was so cheerful and welcoming.

The food quality was top notch and delicious. Surprise with its variety choices of food.

The environment is so cozy and the music choice wad trendy and fit the overall ambience.

Chanced upon this restaurant. Pretty innovative menu and good food. Great ambiance with friendly staff. Location is a bit off but definitely a hidden gem at Penang hill! Highly recommended.
