Ee Beng Vegetarian Food

Great place to have budget meal for vegan/Vegetarian. It is an economy rice shop but offer lots of vegetarian dishes I wish I can eat all of it just now. The variety of vegetarian dishes really tempting me. This shop definitely become one of my favourite vegetarian restaurant in Georgetown. The premise also clean. 😍

I’ve been coming here 2-3 times weekly for three months now and the review still remains: Friendly staff, delicious food, affordable prices - all this makes this a five star experience. You simply take a plate, shove on whatever you desire from the vegan/vegetarian buffet, go to the payment counter, let the staff inspect your plate, and then find a place to sit and devour that food! Yum

Awesome vegan joint, good taste, tons of dishes that were too many to try, clean, very reasonable price (less than $2.50 USD), and quite healthy. What's not to like? I went back again today, and it was even better than the first day. You wouldn't know it's vegetarian unless they tell you. It's all vegetarian! A definite place to visit for a healthy, vegetarian lovers! Make sure to try their Almond coffe/drink. It's out of this world!

Great and cheap vegetarien food! We loved this budget friendly buffet and came back twice.

This place has huge variety of delicious buffet dishes (expect busy around 11am and 3pm) plus ladies who work here have good sense of humour. I highly recommend, I've been at least 5 times already and will come back.

Local family run restaurant serving absolutely incredible local food with authentic taste. Tried the mix veg rice (MYR 7) on one day and returned for Laksa (MYR 6) on another day.

EE Beng Vegetarian Food is top quality buffet for a great price. This restaurant is such good value for money. It gets very busy at lunch time so keep in mind you may need to wait for somewhere to sit. For the most delicious mystery tofu portion get the square, brown, layered thing (pictured foreground left of photo below). Takeaway is also really good if you want to do Penang hill, I recommend getting here early (opens at 7am each day but closed on Sunday) and bring some lunch for your hike!

My lunch cost me only RM6.50, reasonable price.
Many parking lots available.

We loved this place! It might not be the chepest vegetarian buffet but the food quality is soo good! A lot of veggies and tofu variety. Cheap drinks. We wanted to visit every single day for lunch, it gets busy with locals but you can always find a seat.

Delicious. Had breakfast there this morning. 2,50 € for way to much food and a chinese tea. there are so many options. the restaurant owner is really kind and its a good atmosphere. lots of locals get there food for work to take away and passing by.

There are no signs at the buffet, and also fish flavored dishes, if this is too intense for breakfast (for me it is) - you have to ask

this vegetarian resto was established 30 years ago. In fact, it is the first vegetarian in Penang.

Great little vegetarian restaurant opposite of the police station. Offers a massive variety of vegetarian / vegan food (tofu and seitan in different form as well as rice and veggies) in buffet style. You just take whatever you feel like onto a plate and pay a small amount for it.
We came four times for dinner and everything we tried was so delicious (sometimes a bit spicy though)!

No frills old school eatery vibes. Plenty choices for vegetables and mock meat. Accept cashless. Shop is clean. Sufficient efficient service.

Good luck getting here tho. Parking will always be a hassle in Georgetown.

This place is simple, affordable, and my go to for lunch. You fill up your plate with whatever veggies, curry, mock meat you like and go to pay. It adds up to roughly 7-9RM, which is great value. I came back several times throughout my stay.

Get the big veggie meat bao bun it is SO GOOD. The eggless kaya bao was delicious as well.

Leaving Penang we got a Togo container of food for the road and it was divine!

You'd think with this many dishes available things would taste the same, but no. Everything is different enough and quite tasty. Great price too! The only problem is it's so easy to eat too much here! I tried to get a little bit of everything but couldn't 😂
