五福福建虾面·卤面 Wu Foo Hokkien Prawn Soup Noodle

I’m definitely planning to return. I’m usually not a fan of prawn mee, but this place changed my mind! The broth is perfect for those who don’t like spicy food, as long as you skip the chili paste. And a must-try tip: add the garlic paste to the soup. Even though I’m not big on garlic, it really elevated the flavor. Give it a shot, it’s surprisingly good!

The famous Penang prawn noodles. This stall is a local favourite and doesn't see many foreigners as they would probably flock to food courts and other places not so remote.

But judging from the crowd of locals, you can tell that it's good stuff.

They have the run of the mill stuff but the specialty kicks in considering that they have the extras condiments that you can add to your steaming bowl of noodles.

From pork ribs, pork intestines, roast pork, braised mushrooms and the special sticky gooey "lor", you can customise to your heart's content.

As I said, it's off the beaten path, and it's the only stall here, so if you're looking for a variety of different dishes, then don't come here. But if you want a truly good bowl of hokkien Mee, this place is hard to beat.

For the first time, I tried non spicy hockien mee.
Always pass by, but there is no parking.

One of the best hokkien mee in Penang! They have wide variety of ingredients for add on or extra order, and choices of noodle, beehoon and instant noodle. Besides, you can also choose the soup you like - typical prawn broth, black thicken "lor" soup, or mixed of both. The shop is clean and please queue to order.

The soup is great. U must try soup + loh = mix. A great mix n match u will have.
If u are boring with noodle . U can try Just Tau geh... Vegetarian seafood 🦞 also good.

Great hokkien mee and hokkien lor. Nice friendly service too. Quiet environment. Good barley drink too.

Recently moved here from 3rd road. Food is a bit slow to serve.

Went around 10.30pm as they going to close soon. Spacious and located at quiet small hidden road. One of the best hokkien Mee in malaysia. Service wise ok, polite youngster, perhaps I speak hokkien so more friendly.

The signature cake 🎂. Someone they all sold out due to Raya. So better be quick to avoid disappointment. Ended up we order the pandan delight. Also one of my all time favourite.

Food is great but the lights are a bit too much and too bright 🫡

The prawn broth is naturally sweet without having too much flavouring.

Broth is between traditional (clear) and roasted pork based (modern), still thick enough to be called Hokkien Mee. Keep it up 😉
