Penang Street Art

Penang street art are artworks depicting Penang life and history. From a conversation with our Grab driver, we were told that various artists from all over the world have come to Penang to create masterpieces. Definitely worth visiting, located at Georgetown

The art here is amazing. A lot of hotels and tourist locations provide leaflets which a checklist and map for the most common street art.

Some tourists can block the art when taking photos. Try to be courteous when taking photos. Some patience required if you want to take a clean photo.

The local authority should ensure no parking in front of art, as I've found parked cars blocking some amazing pieces of art.

Lovely to walk around and take it all in… all doable in a couple of hours, plus make sure to stroll further than the murals, the buildings and streets are quite a sight at night with lovely architecture, decorations, lights … especially better in the evening time with less heat and chaos in the streets :)

Not really a secret spot, but worth to visit. Some of the murals lost their color due time but not loosing their charme. This is how street art is - temporary....Take your time to enjoy it

The place is nice for tourists..But it's hot in the afternoon...The price for souvenirs is quite cheap..You can rent an electric bicycle to round around this area..

Place was great! The culture and history of Penang was clearly preserved and it was well-maintained. Super lovd the street arts!

PS. Bring umbrellas or fans, it can get very hot sometimes during the afternoon.

Nice street, a lot of beautiful wall arts and souvenir shop, cafe and restaurant. Recommend to book a local cyclo to take you to all famous arts.

Charming little street filled with vibrant arts, ais kepal cafes and souvenir shops. The artworks are randomly placed - finding one is like solving a quiz. I would love to learn the story behind those arts - the artist and the inspiration, but such information are nowhere to be found. I guess the point of those arts is to admire and just to admire. They are indeed beautiful.

I think it would be better if the main street (Armenian Street) is closed to cars and motorcycles on the weekend so that it would be safer for tourists to roam around and enjoy.

Locals are very proud of the artwork, trishaw drivers will happily show you the artwork if you book a trip with them.

Must visit when you visit to penang, one of the famous art wall and some roadside stalls and shops with selling some penamg souvenis, food and drink etc. Very good to walk around and explore.

A very lively place, I came during after raya season and at evening. Still many people, lots of shops still open, you can rent rickshaw, bicycle, e-scooter, or just walk around. It took us 1 hour ++ to really sight seeing and buying local products at the street. Was it worth it? Yes definitely!

Wonderful place to visit for tourist who are looking for souvenirs. You may find sooo many souvenir shop along the street with various prices. You can also find durian, snacks, and have your own caricature as well.
