Zhu Yuan Vegetarian Restaurant 竺緣素食齋菜館

Make sure you are not too hungry when you visit this nice vegetarian restaurant near Prangin Mall in Penang Island. It will take them a while to prepare, but one thing is for sure, they will serve you nicely spiced/seasoned food.

I recommend the Claypot Hor Fun which is good for two persons. It is loaded with rice noodles, soup, veggies, and veggie meat that's perfect if you are craving for Char Kway Teow minus all the lard and pork fat.

Overall, nice food (but ambiance could be improved).

Lovely family run restaurant where you can try vegetarian options of lots of traditional Hokkien and Oriental dishes. The portion sizes are generous and the prices very good. The food is delicious and I really enjoyed trying dishes that were completely new to me!

First of all the taste not bad like normal meat food, but of course the food is meatless. I order the claypot mee and chicken rice with lam rice for takeaway. The food portion was big enough and its price also not very pricey. For who want try vegetarian food that have traditional taste, you guys can come and try it.

Famous vegetarian restaurant, near Komtar in Town. Its clean and spacious, ideal for family dinner. Aircond and good ventilation system. But parking is an issue ( whole penang same predicament ). Otherwise do come and enjoy vegetarian

Best vegetarian chicken rice I've had so far. The tomyam is really good as well. Super accommodating owners, too! Definitely a go-to for me and my vegetarian friends.

Must Try Vegetarian Food
The Vegetarian Chicken Rice would be the one I would recommend anyone. Next will be the Char Hor Fun.

The down side is, parking. The place isn't fancy but acceptable, however the food is a must try and the prices are friendly.

Usually take quite long for food to arrive but this year was quite fast. Can be quite long to wait for the food when there is many customer but food is fresh and good.
The dishes is also cooked fresh when ordered and staff is friendly uncle.
