The Book Sandwich Cafe - Georgetown Restaurant

We went there for a simple wedding anniversary dinner about 5pm. The restaurant was empty at the time. The servers were able to focus on us and gave a good service. They lit the candle on our table and gave my wife a small bench to place her bag. We ordered the signature lobster sandwich and wagyu burger. Both came with a big portion of sides of salad and fries. The lobster sandwich didn't disappoint - it was delicious, although pricey (RM60~). The waygu burger were stacked in a tower. It was juicy and flavourful. I would return here for special occasions.

This is my 3rd time dining here. This time was together with my family. We love this cafe, the foods, the environment, the CNY decorations & the services. We'll definitely come back again in the future. We're hoping the owner of this cafe will continue to do well.

I would say that this is a pricey cafe to go for if you want to have a romantic dinner with your loves one. Definitely worth it because it fulfilled my tastebud. Especially the risotto with the truffle and gold on top. Looks pricey and i love it.

What a great spot. Warm friendly welcome from staff. The Christmas decorations are up and they look so festive. Efficient service and a great selection of delicious food. I had crispy Fish and Chips which was so very good.
Lovely place overall

Quiet at the time we dined, but service was wonderful, with Daisy and the team working hard to keep us happy. The was excellent especially the sea bass. Scallops were fresh and delicious. Apple crumble was brilliant; not too sweet, just the right amount of tartness. Latte was smooth and just right. Whole place had a very calming ambience!

I admired the effort they put in to decorate the whole place for the festive season. While their pricing is way higher than the others, their portion and taste made then worthwhile. Having said that, their service needs to be improved. We practically need to call the waiters more than once to remind them of our requests. Other than that, this place is definitely worth burning your pocket.

High-quality foods & service. It's worth paying for the price. We just walk over after the pastry shop.

When I'm thinking of having sandwiches, this is the 1st place that I could think of.

Have tried their signature lobster sandwich before, tastes amazing, so this time i ordered their Chicken sandwich, portion is reasonable and the taste is 👍.

Ordered their slightly pricey seafood soup, will i order again? Absolutely!

My mom found this on Google map in the first place, and so we decided to give it a try. I have never expected this great in this kind of cafe, those foods we ordered were really surprised me. Lamb shank and the grilled salmon were well-prepared which the gravies were made just right to them. The mushroom soup was so smooth, creamy and was in the greatest consistency. The t-bone pork chop was impressive, it was so tender and the sauce with it brings out the flavor which was perfect. Lobster sandwich have half lobster in the rolls, the cheese and creamy sauce stuffed on top of the sandwich was a bit too much for me as I was stuffed after a few bites from the others. Pork Burger was not bad and we were stuffed at the end.

We also ordered the dessert at the end and it never disappoints me as expected. We will definitely coming back. Reasonable price, Highly recommended!

Their food is really nice and exceptional. Its worth a special visit. Its a good place for special occasion or daily meal. The waiters were polite and the environment was warm and with relaxing music.

The lamb shank was excellent. It was mouthwatering and tender. The signature soup was creamy and come with extradionary taste. However, i would recommend avoiding the pork chop. Pork needed to fully cooked, so its tougher and chewy with this thickness. The cool drink and coffee were just fine.

Relatively pricey Western cuisine with palatable quality. Charmingly idyllic interior that is comfy for pleasant dining. Attentive and friendly service and food served fast.

The food is nice. The main course is quite big for one portion, it would a great idea to order few main courses and sharing among friends or families.

There are ONLY 3 customer car parks available in front of their shops. Other than that, it is the MBPP car parks.
It's a great place to have a small gathering.
They also have liquor coffee, worth a try too.

During a recent visit to Penang my husband and I just happen to stroll by. It was approaching dinner and we decided to see if we could just walk in. We could. The delicious food was attractively presented and appealed to the taste and the eye. The staff were amazing providing exactly the correct amount of service.

2 tables of 8 for Christmas lunch. We pre ordered 3 sharing platters and al la carte on the day. All our guests enjoyed themselves and the food was exactly as per the videos. Service was good and the decor amazing!Will consider for next year for sure!

One of my favourite places to go for delicious lobster dish. The food in general is tasty. The ambience is nice. Staffs are really friendly. Tried rum raisin cake and tiramisu cake, it was just average. I guess cakes wasn't their strong suit.

Great ambience, excellent food, outstanding service. Absolutely loved the duck chop, lamb shank and lobster sandwich that we ordered. Duck chop was an exquisite blend of meat and fat. Servers were very helpful and responsive to our orders. Prices were reasonable for the quality, would definitely return here again!

Probably the best meal my husband and I had in Penang. I got the Duck Chop, which was literally mouth watering and my husband got the Half Chicken. All I can say is I cleaned my plate and even though I was full, I wished there was more on the plate to get savoring the flavor. We didn't order dessert because they were closing and we didn't to hold them up any longer because the kitchen had already stayed open for us but the dessert window did look good. I think the close time might be wrong on google, so get there before 8:30pm just to be safe.
