Pinxin Vegan Cuisine

Food was delicious! I was a bit afraid it would be a tourist oriented vegan restaurant, but it has a very local vibe. Tasty food, with a lot of healthy ingredients and super friendly staff. The coffee and hojicha lattes were super tasty- just a bit weird they charge extra for oat milk and not for almond milk (when it's a vegan place). The QR ordering system is not my favourite, but it seems popular in the industry here and it works fine. Overall highly recommended, I'm leaving with a (super) full belly and happy heart!

We came to this place for lunch. The building is very historical and the decor is classic. Service was friendly and food served soon after ordering. The prosperous hokkien noodle and three cup tofu and mushroom rice were very delicious. The drinks, lemon tea and lemongrass were good too. We had an enjoyable meal here.

This is a good place to come for vegetarian food. It has a comfortable cafe environment, with western style decor even though they serve mainly oriental food.

The Kuang Chiang is something you have to try here. The crispy skin with its soft delicious centre gives it an enjoyable textural contrast. The fact that it comes hot from the fryer is an added bonus.

Pearl Soup Mini Pot is another dish I highly recommend. There's very generous components in it but the superb flavor of the soup is the one that warrants a repeat order. The soup is light but has incredible flavouring with enough thickness to it without turning into a stew.

The Hericium mushroom meanwhile is superb. You get a thin crunch of crispy layer with a delicious chewy center. The sweet and sour sauce is pretty average though but fortunately the mushroom being the star of the dish is able to carry the dish.

The Green Kurma Mushroom with Tempeh however had pretty average contents but the kurma gravy on the other hand was delightful. Thick, aromatic with a good play of spice on the palate. I found it very apetite stimulating.

In general, loved the atmosphere, loved the cool air con, loved the food but price is a bit on higher side but totally worth it IMHO.

Very aesthetic restaurant. The time I come it is so quiet but after half and hour it's turn a little bit busy with dinner crowd. The ambience so relaxing. You have to order via QR. The food is soooo tasty and delicious. The Nasi Lemak Rendang portion is very generous and the satay stick also very tasty. The staff is super friendly and giving great hospitality. Thank you for having me today - Table no 2. High recommended to all vegans and vegetarians out there to try this restaurant whenever you are in Penang. The price is very reasonable. Definitely will come to visit you on my next trip to Georgetown, Penang.

The environment is cozy and comfy. The food is nice, personally like the Kuang Chiang 潮州广将, recommended to try, it was very tasty. Ordered Nasi Lemak Rendang, the tempeh is too much and the hericium mushroom 猴头菇 is too little. Drinks just normal. Price is on the higher side but the service was very good.

From Singapore & I love the ready to eat packs as with simple heating at comfort of home, I managed to whip up a delicious spread of Nonya food in just 15 mins, for my family. I also like it that they do not use preservatives, additives, white sugar and white salt too. 🌟

We had Sambal petai tempeh, Classic satay, Watercress soup, Assam fish and Mei cai (preserved vege). The foodies were well packed and delivered in cooler bag. We love the savoury Assam fish, and Sambal petai tempeh the most 😋

Really good local cuisine with a vegan twist. The staff was a bit akward. When we visited we were the only guests at first, so the waitress stayed by our table, while we decides what to eat. She helped with some decisions, but her presence also put some pressure on us.
The food was good, though. The restaurant seems to specialize in using the the Lion‘s Mane-mushroom (hericium) instead of meat. We had three dishes with hericium and all three felt different because the hericium was prepared three different ways. If I have the chance I definitely will come again.

Food was good. No mock meats were used ... hericium mushroom was treated well in the dishes we had. Nasi lemak classic and dry curry noodles ..

Just that the price is little expensive.

The best vegan food I have tasted so far! Love the environment and the variety of vegan food being served here. Ordered the Sweet and Sour Hericium Rice and Asam Laksa. The Asam Laksa was served hot and was very tasty with the right amount of spiciness, sweetness and sourness. Even though it is vegan but it did not lack in flavour and the taste is similar to the non-vegan dish option. The Sweet and Sour Hericium Rice was very well balanced with many types of vegetables and the healthy rice was very special too. Overall, would come back here to try other vegan dishes and their vegan cakes.

Pinxin always my first option for vegan food when i visit penang. At this time i ordered oriental pearl soup miniopot its really fresh and tasty. I recommed this place for vegan lover food!!!!

Has lots of dishes with monkey head mushrooms. All tasted good especially the one with sambal and tempeh (second picture).

Arrived at lunchtime on a weekday. The ambience is lovely and the food has a refined taste, while having balanced flavours and not being too greasy. The portion sizes are reasonable and filling as well.

The service is reasonable, despite them being short staffed, but the servers were polite and attentive. Wait time was fine.

Amazing food friendly staff with wifi to order. Love the atmosphere and peacefulness of the place. Decorations are amazing. Good food quality and high standards. Love the noddles dish simple and nice. Finished the soup too. Good location near my hotel will come back again to try other dishes definitely.

Great service, fulfilling portions, great blend of spices brings out the flavor of Malaysia cuisine. Vegan hokkien mee and Jawa mee was lovely.

Tasty food and great place to get it as a vegan alternative to be able to try the cuisine and not worry about what it contains. Specifically recommend the Pinxin Nasi Kandar (see photo attached).

This vegan food is absolutely delicious! I returned after my first meal here because there are so many things to choose from on their menu. The hericium mushrooms are a must try! Quite a quiet place at lunch time -I don’t know why because it’s such good quality food and lovely friendly staff.

With its very unique flavours local to Penang, this is definitely a contender for best vegan restaurant in Malaysia!

This place does a great nasi lemak. Full of flavour and with a variety of different textures, you won't be disappointed!

The hericium dark sauce rice was just as tasty as well. I love the tough texture of the mushrooms and the sweet taste

Highly recommend the hokkien mee, they did a fantastic job of capturing the authentic flavour

The "brownie" I had was very unique, a mix between biscuit pudding and brownie I'd say.
