Gunung Raya Viewing Tower

Mesmerising. One of hidden gem in Langkawi. 800+ meters above sea level. Sad to see this areas are abandoned. Hope authorities take action on this.

A highest spot to enjoy panoramic view of Langkawi. But for safety, there are a few monkeys request food..

Perjalanan nak ke atas dari bawah lebih kurang 20 minit.. Sampai atas Gunung Raya, permandangan memang cantik.. duduk dalam 30 minit-hilang semua masalah. Saya dah cuba dah.. Rasa duk ateh awan.. 😎🌥

Это лучшее место на всем острове, абсолютно ни каких магазинов, кафе И так далее , НО, когда ты едешь на байке, и понимаешь сколько человеческих сил сюда вложено, чтоб сделать дорогу, канализацию, электричество, воду питьевую, сколько джунглей вырубить пришлось, просто поражает. на самом верху, заброшенный отель, и телефонные вышки, стоишь себе смотришь вдаль, плывут по тебе облака, это место выше небесного моста, и думаешь о своем 😌

Didn’t see that it was temporary closed but on the way up there are some viewpoints which is really nice also just by the parking there’s a picture point with the name on it so we took some pictures and the view was amazing just at the drop-off point of the tower. The entrance to the tower and all the facilities were closed but it was worth going there even if it’s temporarily closed just for the view and cool breeze

The viewing tower itself is closed but you can still get great views from the road leading upto the tower and also a viewing platform slightly further down the road. This is the highest point on the island so worth making the journey along the winding access road which starts on an adjoining hill.

The view Tower is closed, but you can drive up here to enjoy the cool weather and the view from the top.

On the way up, we saw hornbills! Not many cars around. The viewing tower was closed and quite dilapidated. There were a few dogs around but they didn't bother us.
Highlight of the location is a simple yet striking structure that is strategically located - framing a breathtaking scenery. To me, the trip up was worth it just for the picture alone.

You can drive up to the top and enjoy the spectacular view, free of charge. The road is clean and well maintained. You can see the Tarutao National Park, Thailand very clear.

You have to drive up the mountain to reach the top and enjoy the spectacular views of the mountains, valleys, sunset and the vast Ocean.

Take some food with you as there won't be any food stalls on your way up. Also, ensure that you have enough fuel in your scooter/car as there aren't any fuel stations on the way up.

The views are magnificent and one should go there in the evening to get mesmerized by the shining rays of the sunset gleaming on the beautiful waves of the Ocean.

It is around 15kms from the main road connecting the towns

Nice place to see island from top :) the road is surrounded by jungles and you could meet monkeys.

Its just peak of mountain, no activity there
