Ticket prices are cheap for adults and kids. The bats are actually smaller than my imaginary. The paths is not too long that u can spend shorter time here.

Rmb to bring flash light for seeing bats, you need flash light to see the pathway clearly since they are quite dark inside. Some areas are inaccessible during high tide so do remember doing research b4 coming here. Don’t bring food to feed monkeys.

A very short trail, but also dark. Be remind the monkeys there are so aggressive. Keep your important belonging to an unreachable space. Good views for photos. The journey would take only about 5-10 minutes. There is no toilet or eateries.

We visited during weekdays so it was not crowded and we had a good experience. Entrance to the cave is kind of lower so one should have to bend. Carrying an infant I was little conscious but it went well. It was quote hot inside the cave but we survived though :D. After exiting the bat cave we got to see monkeys jumping and playing around. There was some scalp like thing in the forest about which we had argument if that was snake skin or not :D.

Natural bat cave. Need a boat ride to get there. Ticket is cheap, RM 2 for adults, RM 1 for kids. Torchlight is provided. The whole walk should take up to 30min. Mind your head when walking. Good for the kids to see and learn.

Good spot to see wild bats 🦇 in cave. It was part of Mangrove tour package. Entry fee RM2 for adults and RM1 for child and for torch RM1. All together will take 20 mins. Don’t go only for this. Careful for bags and foods , monkeys 🙈 are there.

This place is really good. Although just a short distance walk...u can see the bat at a very close distance. There is a torchlight rental for rm1 per person. Take note that there is some passage section is flooded with water. So, it is recommended to wear slippers instead of sport shoes.

Straight into the bat cave! Spooky experience if you go in the late afternoon/evening. The cave is reachable with a boat.

Part of the kilim geoforest tour-
Entrance to the bat cave is rm2 for adults and rm1 for kids. It’s a short walk turn but the cave is incredibly dark so you may need to rent a torchlight when you pay for your entrance ticket. We didn’t rent one, and relied on the light from other tourists. The walk inside the cave is a bit steep and not wheelchair or elderly friendly as you’re required to walk in the dark, then bend through through some tiny walkways, reminded me of that temple run game. Aside from bats, you’ll likely see monkeys too. Be careful of any loose items, the monkeys might take them. Oh and you’ll have a closer look at the mangrove swamp while you’re here.

Only RM 2 to feel the connection with nature. (Here only accept cash) You can see the monkeys all around the island (there're also some other creatures but required more time to discover) and the bats in the solutional cave. But the cave here may disappoint geology enthusiasts as no camera lights allowed so you may be unable to take photos of the stalactites. (BUT I saw some pictures online, they just ignore the rule and take photos...emm still better don't do so)

And for plant lovers, the forests here consist of centuries old plants like the living fossils and mainly trees you can see here are the mangroves. Personally I think it's worth the ticket price.

Sincerely Advice: Don't bring any food or bag with food.
One of our friends is being attacked by the monkeys near the bridge after passing through the cave with bats. Luckily, all the monkey wants is the food and she wasn't injured. But quite scary when it crawled on the bag.

Cool place, got to see lots of bats! Make sure you stay quiet in the caves and don't shine the flashlight to much in the roof of the caves to not disturb the bats during the day when they are sleeping. And I would advise not touching the handrails as they are filled with bat poo.

Bats in their natural habitat. My advice to visitors, smell the guano (bat poo), wipe your hands on the lime stone and smell the environment. That's the real adventure!

It's a very short walk but if u haven't seen bats before, bring a bigger torch light. No flashes are recommended. And be one with nature by lowering your voice.

These aren't blood sucking vampire bats but insects nocturnal mammals which are active during the night. Very interesting and educational for kids. Beware of the macaques.. They seem harmless.. But plastic bags intrigued them. So keep food away.

Gua Kelawar aka Bat caves is a part of the mangrove safari package offered by most of the travel agents in langkawi. You can charter a pvt boat also. Entry fee is RM 2, a flashlight costs RM 1. In package option, you will get to spend a half hour there, which is more than enough. A walkway leads to the caves, with lots of itty bitty bats 😁. On the other side, the walkway leads to the mangrove trees. Be careful of the monkeys, especially if you have kids. Monkeys will grab them sometimes. Enjoy your trip!
