Kool Beach Club

Very solid beach club in Playa. My boyfriend and I were looking for a relaxing environment and for the most part Kool delivered. There are other party oriented beach clubs in the area and we were looking to avoid that, so if that’s what you’re looking for it might not be the best option for you.

The service here was great and we had no problem hitting the 500 peso minimum per person with a couple drinks and a lunch. The seafood ceviche was great and the guacamole portion was very generous. We weren’t huge fans of the spicy piña colada, but the staff was really nice about bringing over a free replacement. The only complaints we had was there were a lot of people smoking cigarettes and the music was playing a little loudly for our taste (also one speaker kept cutting in and out) but nothing too annoying.

We spent a full day at this beach club and really enjoyed it. The staff are very friendly and super attentive - our drinks never ran empty. The atmosphere is fun with good music and the prices are reasonable for a beach club. It was about $40 CAD per person but you can use that full amount as a credit for drinks (and maybe food?). $40 per person all toward drinks makes for a very good day on the beach.

We will definitely be going back here next time we are in Playa del Carmen and recommend anyone visiting to check this place out.

It's a nice beach club. Friendly service. The music is at a reasonable volume. It's $750 pesos per person for a bed. All the money goes towards consumption so it's a little better than the alternatives. The food/drink prices seem decent, no more expensive than the other restaurants nearby. The food is alright, I would definitely come back.

Dec 22 2021. Great service and fast also. Group of 3 people. 850 min per person today. Not bad. Stayed for 4 hours ordered 3 drinks and two entrees throughout personally and hit the minimum. Payed about 1200 with tip total. It was chill the day I came. Also liked the music (modern popular music) not some techno. Food was good. The aguachile was awesome. Good shrimp cocktail. Drinks were yummy but the shrimp tacos were just okay. Alsome pictures of the menu right now

Changed name to Tata’s beach club. Doesn’t have a pool anymore, only loungers on beach. Food was not bad. Cold drinks. $1200 p/p and $600 back for consumption.

Great place to go to the beach if you are not staying at a beach resort or in Playa del Carmen. It cost about $40 per person for admission, but they give you a food and beverage credit for that amount. Plus, it includes access to the pool and showers.

Please say this was helpful. Kool is a beach club where you can sit at the beach enjoy Caribbean music the pool and good food. When you arrive you go to the reception area or cajeros to reserve your lounge chairs. You may want to take a tour of the place first to decide where you want to sit. The price is 900 pesos or about 50 dollars for 2 chairs and an umbrella but the cool thing is they give you a 50 dollar credit to consume what you want so basically the chairs are free. They have a nice 4 foot deep pool and that's really their best attraction. My wife got a massage for 20 bucks while we were there for 30 minutes. We ordered a shrimp cocktail which wasnt the best one ive had but it was good and its big enough for 2 and cost about 15 dollars in credit. We also ordered fajita nachos for 10 bucks which was delicious. The drinks are tiny like 8 oz and a margarita cost 7 bucks and a coke for 2 bucks. Kool is right next to mamitas and usually has chairs when mamitas is full. If you parked in the mamitas parking lot you will have to consume something too at mamitas preferably at the restaurant so you dont pay another 20 bucks for chairs and an umbrella and save your receipt because you need it to leave the parking lot. I guarantee you will love kool as its one of the fairest and less expensive beach clubs with great amenities and good food and clean bathrooms and showers. Its also one of the cleanest clubs and has the nicest beach. Grt there by noon in high season if you want to guarantee getting a seat and 11am if you want to be on the beach. A really great "no bait and switch" beach club that I highly recommend and have been to multiple times with the same consistent experience. It is ~$45 per person which includes a ~$45 food and drink credit (menu prices are quite fair), lounge chair, and umbrella. Great service that is very attentive and will notify you when you surpass your credit.

Good music mix and live bands some days.

If you want to have a guaranteed good time with no stress, this is a fantastic option.

Mandarino's charges 300 for the lounge chair, does not include an umbrella, and requires an additional 300 spend.

Martina's asked for 1200 per person, then dropped it to 1k per person before trying to add back a 150 person fee because we were not staying at the property. They also had security checking every bag which was overly invasive to make sure you brought no outside food and drink. It showed a lack of respect for guests.

You eat/drink you beds concept. You pay a price depending on the rank of beds. The amount you can eat/drink. So basicly you just pay for food and beverage. Helpfull waiters. One is especially good in his work, Carmello is perfectly present and serviceable. Thumbs up for him.

We paid 350 pesos each to park in lounge chairs for the day, and it was great! You can use your 350 pesos paid toward food and drink, making it a great deal. Nice bathrooms, a shower to get the sand off, and decent food with a nice menu. Being close to the water, having your own lounge chair and space, and excellent wait staff make this a winner for us!

Great spot and very inexpensive for the family for the day. We grabbed a bed that fit all of us and it gave us 1000 peso credit toward food and drinks. The pool was very clean and warm and not very busy. It was quite a bit of seaweed on the beach but that was common anywhere we went in Mexico this week. Five stars all the way!

Great beach club where we spent a full day. Reasonable prices for two chairs and one umbrella (considering that you use that money to order drinks and food - if you don't spend the entire amount you won't get the remaining back). Nice small swimming pool, good service and delicious food. We also got an amazing and relaxing massage (thanks a lot Lili and Diana). Moreover in this area, the sea is simply amazing! Highly recommended!!!

All I can say is WOW. We had a group of 12 come here around 12:30 PM on a Saturday. The music is chill, the scene is fun but not too crazy, and everything was perfect. Our server Cristina was out of this world. She was so attentive and never had us empty on our drinks. I also personally got a massage from Suemy and she was incredible. If you want a full-package day, definitely check out Kool for your group or couple festivities.

Awesome place! Seems expensive at the beginning, but you get your money back bc they take the money off of your ending bill. Our server also warned us when we went over too, which was nice... we were there all day!

Amazing experience! Paradise in a nutshell. For superior service ask for Maribel, she's the best! :) Beach club includes beach chairs, umbrellas, restaurant, bar, all brought to you on the beach. They have showers, washrooms, a pool, massage area... all for a low price! Very fun.

3rd time here. Very clean with excellent service by Williams. Great drinks (cold) and food (hot). Massage was also top notch each time.

It’s a great place to spend the whole day/afternoon. They are doing a great job with Covid guidelines. Food it’s ok. Music it’s great. Beach it’s crowded. A lot of birds.
